Why is shopping DVC resale contracts so addictive?

Any thoughts of adding user comments on contracts? Something for registered users maybe, have a conversation on active listings that may not be allowed in other places?
Or maybe add user inputs like thumbs up/down. I see you plan on having popularity and favs added, but thinking a mechanism where something is a bad contract the community can help lower the rating on it or at least note its not viewed favorably.

I think those are really good suggestions, I think your idea of voting, while also being required to be logged-in does a good job of ensuring that it’s hard to abuse the system. Listing prices do change though, as does the market as a whole, so is it fair to retain up/down votes on a listing when either the market or listing prices have adjusted? Thats a problem we’d need to solve for.

Just a heads up - price reduction visualizations are coming to dvcforless.com next week. This is in addition to a number of other features including a normalization of statuses. This sets us up to quickly deliver filtering for Aulani subsidized dues and guaranteed week listings shortly thereafter.

We are unexpectedly house hunting again so we can’t/wont buy for awhile. I’m still catching myself looking at listings then I have to remind myself… no no no! Then I just look at Dec UY. SMH at myself.

If you financed a contract (edit: and still have an active loan on it) then it could affect your DTI for your mortgage approval, but other than that I wouldn't expect any effects just from owning contracts.
