I have tried so many times ofverthe past four years to get moonlight magic. I never get in. What tips and help do i need to learn?

It’s really pretty much luck. They seem to have changed things recently to cut down on owners having multiple browsers open.

But, there are more owners who want to go then get in.

If you have always had to wait until general registration vs early with an onsite stay, it’s harder.

How are they cutting down on multiple browsers?

Although you can still use multiple browsers, they are all “tied together” so you really only have one place in line.

I’ll still use two, probably one cellular and one WiFi when I’m trying just in case I lose the signal to one of them.

We've owned since 2007 and the only event we've ever been able to do was in 2016 at Typhoon Lagoon. Back then I think it was called "Beach Bash", it wasn't even Moonlight Magic...
Wow! I thought I was unlucky. The only thing we can do is just try for the next MM event.

It’s not so much about “getting in” rather than they never seem to schedule these things during the times we are there. We’ve missed a couple by a day or two.

Personally, I’d rather they just give every member some snack coupon during the day or something rather than put on these events that quite honestly most members may never get to experience.

I would prefer the yearly holiday parties they used to have at Epcot with a DVC holiday ornament gift .

I also attended an Open House at BLT Top of the World with prizes and a very nice assortment of drinks and appetizers and pastries. I also won a $25 gift
card.

I don’t like all the new DVC lounges that seem to be focused on Sales to get past the door . It is confusing . I did think the Disney Springs was interesting too .
The original DVC lounge at Epcot and the new one at MK Frontierland are refreshing and inviting . But the new one in Epcot Canada is very different and specifically for Sales .I did like the Disney Springs location but it was a hassle to return for appointment time .
I am not interested in buying anymore for many reasons .
I am glad DVC does not use our maintenance for costs.

Moonlight Magic has been impossible for me also . Member since 2001

I think the next Open Regisytation is May 22 .
I have EPIC plans for Helios and EPIC at Universal Studios Orlando
Sorry Disney Vacation Club , I will be busy having Grand Open Day fun

I would like to know this as well. @setvic are you trying to get in as a local, off property for regular registration? Or are you trying to get in while staying on points?
I am also curious. My own experience--I have had pretty good luck with getting MM on the first registration time frame (staying on DVC points during the MM event to qualify). I have had zero luck getting MM on the secondary registration--for times when I didn't have a DVC points reservation overlapping the MM event.

Based on observations on the Dis board during the secondary registration period I now believe there are probably 100-200 (or less) slots left over for the secondary registration. (My personal opinion is that a person has to be extremely lucky to get MM tickets through the secondary registration. )

I wonder if DVC would ever consider changing their rules. This latest MM, there were a ton of local vloggers at the event - clearly given entrance by a DVC member who had extra passes. It seems like they should change things to only DVC members or their immediate family gaining entrance. No "extra passes" allowed. Or only those staying on property on points being allowed in.

Seems pretty unfair that random popular vloggers score a ticket, but loyal DVC members like the OP never get in.

Could be. But lots of those folks are also DVC owners.
Really? I guess it's just the vloggers I watch that aren't DVC members then. A few that aren't DVC owners who almost always get in: Kyle Pallo, Tim Tracker, Resorttv1, Michael Kay (in his past life), Super Enthused, Magical Meg, etc.

They are always sure to thank their "friends" who "graciously gave us their extra passes."

Oh, I don't watch any of them. Life is too short! ;)

Either way, the rules allow a DVC member to bring in extra people. The only way to stop it is to eliminate that---and even then, they will never allow fewer than the capacity of the room.

Terribly unfair to members who were unable or unwilling to visit during those 3-4 specific weeks every year.

The new location in Canada pavilion has NEVER been billed as a lounge. It's a sales center. Period.

If you're trying to register as a local with no reservation, yes it is going to be difficult. The lottery system is heavily weighted toward members with hotel reservations on event nights. Make a reservation at a DVC resort using points and you'll have much greater odds.

Of course, locals can try to book literally every single Moonlight Magic event, so it's entirely fair that their odds would be lower.
