Can't put their dirty clothing into a laundry hamper but can manage to put the dirty clothing on the floor right next to the hamper?

Why is it, when boys remove their dirty, sweaty, must roll their feet in mud socks, they must leave said socks in a ball, so that you need to pull open the now dried and ready to walk away on their own disgusting socks in order to wash them?

Finally, why is it, boys can't seem to tell the difference between a large, medium and small size sock? At the very least, don't they notice the difference when they put the socks on?

It's not only boys!!! I have four girls and they do the same things!!!

when did my boys move in with you?

I have a boy like that... I started putting his bags, clean laundry... anything that was his that he left lying around... right inside his bedroom door. He comes flying into the house, turns the corner into his room and trips over whatever I have set there.

Never fails..... he then puts all of his dirty clothes in the basket, emptys the basket in the laundry room and then returns to his room to put away his stuff and sulk. :thumbsup2 :confused3 :rotfl: Message received...loud and clear!
:teeth: ;) :lmao:
Mean mom, I am!!!!

Why is that boys cannot pee INTO the toilet, but on the floor beside the toilet, around the back of the toilet, on the wall, even IN THE WASTEBASKET! I don't get it!! :confused3 And what's worse, all 3 of them DENY it! I swear, one of these days I'm going to have a camera set up in each of our bathrooms. I'd really really like to know who it is, first of all and, second, what in the world are they are doing in there while peeing because it's obvious they are not PAYING ATTENTION!

Can you tell I'm tired of cleaning bathrooms around here?

And it's not always children... my 23 year old boyfriend does all of these things! Well, except the size of socks thing- he has 35 different varieties of white socks that are all slightly different, so I refuse to match them- I wash them and then he is supposed to deal with it... but he doesn't, he just whines that I don't do it right! I think I'm gonna throw them all out and buy all the same kind!

My fiance does that.

If he does put them in a hamper, its my hamper rather than his.

I have hampers all over this house including the bedrooms. Luckily they seem to get the pee in the toilet most of the time.

God forbid any of them bend down to pick something up without being told.I should have named my boys: I didn't do it, It wasn't me, It's not mine and given all of them the last name Huh?. Which are always the replies I get from them.

I do love my kids though. I really, really do.

They are in training to be husbands who will leave a glass on the counter right next to the sink, will sort through the junk mail and instead of throwing it away say "the mail's on the table dear" and will leave the belt in their pants and THEN throw it in the hamper.

ditto all of the above with DH51! and DD 19 (except she can pee in the toilet! :rotfl2: )

DHs famous one is always, I mean ALWAYS, leaves his dishes on the table, or wrappers from his food on the counter. He will leave them for DAYS if I let it go. I can clean up all around his mess to try to make a point....not noticed.

What,Socks have sizes?????? :teeth: Hold on i got to go check this out for myself,i have to go look at the pair i just took off, they are laying on the floor next to the hamper. :teeth:

Yep...every morning when I go to take a shower I have to put DH's underwear on foot over into the laundry

We go to the pool once, sometimes twice a day. My DS8 leaves his wet suit on the bedroom carpet EVERYDAY! He's supposed to hang it on the bathroom towel rack...I think he's done that once!!

LOL Margie.. I'm so glad someone else has the same problems I have.. actually I only have one like that.... the eldest... the other one is pretty good.. other than socks left lying wherever they leave his feet. At least he puts his dirty clothes in his dirty clothes bag in his room... the other one just uses the floor and not just for clothes... anything and everything lives on the floor in his room..

Why do boys do all those things.............because they learned it from their father!! ( well, in my house anyway )

OMG YOU ARE SO RIGHT!!!!! The way I look at it is it is a tiny stream and a HUGE target why can't they hit it? BECAUSE THEY DO NOT WANT TO! What you seem to forget is boys are men in triaining!! My son told me that when he is at the park playing BB they do not use the porta toilet but rather go up on the hill and pee in the bushes!! What the heck? They do it because they CAN it is that simple.
As to what they are thinking...they are not OR they are practicing penmanship with an innovative pen and ink!!

And the, " I did not do it". Who the heck did it if you did not? The dog. Trust me if I could train him he would be heck of a lot neater then my sons!

NOw lets talk about what happens when we have to go if we do not check the seat before I use it, I will die with a yellow ring around my A--!

I guess this must come from the "Y" chromosone. Did you know they mapped it? Yep it had a variety of sections.. Here is a portion of the mapping of sections:
Ido not know, I did not do it, I will not ask directions I cannot
pee in the toilet, I wear my clothes for many days till I smell, I cannot put my clothes away, I like to burp and pass gass it is a badge of honor, I drink from the milk or juice container, ..." of course you know the mapping is MUCH longer but many of theses traits will begin to be more pronounced as they mature into men. :teeth:

They do it because you all reinforce to them that it's okay, and clean up after them.

DS15 does his own laundry -- and has for about 4 years. If his socks don't get clean, he'll eventually realize he needs to unball them to get them clean. If he has no underwear, he'll find it under the bed and wash it. If he takes his pants off one leg in and one leg out, he's gotta deal with it -- not me. Eventually, it should sink in.

He knows he's not allowed to leave dishes in the sink -- they go in the dishwasher.

No food or wet towels or clothing are allowed in the bedroom.

If allowed, he'd be a huge pig. However, I work full-time and REFUSE to come home and be a maid as well. We both live here, we both contribute to the upkeep.

Both my boys have been washing and ironing their clothes since they were 14. They can make themselves meals and if they have nothing to wear it is their problem. It is a little more difficult to monitor the "missing the mark" thing! And as was said, no one admits it. I do not know how many men or boys are in your house but if you have multiples then it is very hard to find the culprit. If there is only one ....well it is not like he can blame it on anyone else. That is the key.

I actually wasn't referring at all to the "missing the mark" problem, since it's not an issue in my house.

How about having the boys clean the bathrooms now and then?
