Why is it so hard to find sweet tea?

Try living down there. I went to UCF for grad school, and I so missed having sweet tea with my meals! One of the many reasons I couldn't wait to move back to GA. Thank goodness Disney offers Coke products (unlike a lot of the Orlando restaurants- at least back then)!

As others have stated FL is not in the south! It's largely a mix folks from all over plus lots of tourists from everywhere.

Since not a regional item makes more sense to offer unsweetened then add sugar/sweeteners. Not the same to someone wanting real sweet tea.

There is no good sweet tea at QS. A few TS have but likely to go with food type. Favorite I have found is at Olivia's.

I gave up looking for fresh brewed sweet tea at Disney. When eating table service, I normally order an "Arnold Palmer". They know how to make that. Unfortunately, since it's made cup by cup, the ratio (and taste) changes cup to cup.

Because you can sweeten unsweet tea but you can't unsweet sweet tea.

So true! But I like Gold Peak, so what do I know! When we moved down here to Texas, it took me a while to realize that when I asked for "A cup of tea", I was getting iced, not hot.

Outside of the South, I don't bother asking for Sweet Tea. It's always the same answer- well we got unsweetened and you can add sugar. Nope! It doesn't work like that!
I live in NC :)

Gold Peak is not real sweet tea :crazy2: but it's okay if you like it.

You must ALWAYS be clear what kind of tea you want ....

Am from NJ but moved to GA a tween, then back to NJ as adult. Shortly after I moved back we were in NYC at hotel restaurant and I asked for ice tea. They didn't say a word and at the time I forgot they didn't serve ice tea in winter. What a surprise when I took a sip and it was a Long Island Ice Tea. Looked the same. I kept it but I never forgot to clarify what they were serving after that.
