I recently stayed at the Best Western. It was just alright. I wouldn't pay any more than the $99/night that we paid. Wasn't thrilled, but wasn't upset. Just, eh. The location is fairly close the the ENTRANCE of Downtown Disney. It's quite a bit of walking if you've made it to the end of DTD, and then have to walk all the way back. Especially after a day in the parks... Would I recommend staying at the Best Western for 3 nights. Sure, as long as you don't pay more than $100/night.

We didn't use the pool during our duration of stay. Took a look at it though. Small, but fairly nice. Almost always empty.

When we stayed at DTD, the Hilton looked nice. As did Beuna Vista Palace and Royal Plaza. I'd check out rates for those three. Stay away from the Grosvenor though.

buena vista palace is open but the other 2 are sold out what do you think of BVP

We never actually went into the resort, but it looked nice. I also know that they redid their rooms last year, so if you get a new room, then it's a great deal. I know that's where I'll be staying next time I go. Good luck on your decision!

I just stayed at LBVBW - loved it.

of course I pay $20 a night extra for a tower room with a view of DD, Epcot, MK.

for me it was well worth it.

the hotel rooms are just rooms - nothing great.

swam every night in the pool - loved it. sometimes we were there until 2 am and only once did the security guard tells us they were closing the lounge door.

you can go the other way - but the nights were pretty cool, so walking to the front door in a wet bath suit might have been a bit too cold.

the walk to DD wasn't long at all.

I cheated - when at the MK for late night I walked over to CR for their DD bus and took it - then walked back to BW.

same at Epcot walked over to BC and took their DD bus after Illiuinations.

forgot the worst thing - the MK bus after the MK goes to AK. the Epcot bus after Epcot goes to Studios.

this can made returning from these theme parks really hard on little ones. So if they can walk or if you have a stroller I recommend walking to a Disney resort and taking their DD bus, then walking to BW.

this is not only for BW but all the DD resorts.

It's not completely sold out. FW has cabins available and the Comtemporary has rooms. Different stuff keeps coming available from time to time. You have to keep checking as people cancel and/or change ressies. Gonna be crowded...
