I was watching something on tv about a year ago and the USA anthem came on. Without thinking I started singing along. My daughter looked at me and said mom, how do you know that??? I looked right back at her and said from watching hockey games LOL

OK, you want to hear something really corny? When I hear Oh Canada, I get a little emotional. I feel a little connection, like I do to the countries that my parents emigrated from. I really want to go to Canada someday, go to the Hall of Fame, and see a game played there. Yes, I am a hockey dork.

And yes, that was a nice goal, Geoff! I don't mind ties, but I think shootouts are fun to watch. Not in the playoffs, though.

I have never been to a Professional hockey game. Only been to the college level ones and I fell in love with it.

We are here in Ohio, so we watch the Buckeyes. My DH went to school at Ferris State in Big Rapids, MI. So, when they are here in town, we go see them. Awesome team from up north. That reminds me...better go order our tickets.

I agree that shootouts have no place in the playoffs, regardless of the sport, but I don't mind them in the regular season. In fact they can be really fun to watch... case in point from tonight!

Sick goal. I almost feel bad for Smith. He did everything he could. Can't wait to see Big Z try that move in a shoot out. Except he'd be in the face-off circle when he's tapping it in.
