So today has been an insanely busy day and almost none of it has to do with Disney

Today I went to an Open House at one of the District 75 Schools these are the schools in NYC with the small classes and special instruction. Since J is non-verbal he is going to be in Special Education.

I loved the school I visited, they have an ABA class. ABA is Applied Behavioral Analysis teaching and really works well with kids on the spectrum. the one thing I am going to have to fight for is the extra speech therapy he needs.

This school is about 3 miles from my house. It was a lovely program and the kidslooked happy.

I have one other school I want to go see I just hope that the NYC Department of Education feels the same way I do about an appropriate program.

Chiara... I hope that one of these schools is just the right one for J, and I hope that the school system will work for you rather than against you.

Today I need to finish a shirt order and I want to cut out a pair of Easy Fits for C she wants a PJ set. Need to print out her size though because it isn't in my folder

I also need to iron the fabric for the first Disney Outfit for C.

Oh and I also forgot that today is a big day in the planning world for our August trip.

It is the day I call DVC member services to see if I can switch us to Beach Club Villas (We have never stayed in the Villas) or at the Board Walk Villas which will be DHs first time staying at that one I took the kids there by myself.

Oh and in other planning news my sister is thinking of joining us at Disney though she will be getting her own room and is thinking of calling friends for comp tickets. (she has a lot of friends that work at WDW on Illuminations since that is where she used to work)

WARNING - NOT DISNEY RELATED​

Okay this is a little mommy brag about my J. I know I know but I have to take pride in all the small things.

the past few days J has been into cleaning up after himself with out being prompted.

For example he had a snack and once he was finished he took his plate threw his leftovers in the garbage and put his plate on the counter. THat is a 3 step process he did on his own.

He is also babbling a whole lot more. This is a great sign. It means the pre-language is there so we have to work on developing it much more.

Oh and he has started giving actually kisses but totally on his terms of course.


okay back to my regularly scheduled trip report,

I have been scouring for boy fabric I like for J and I am having such a hard time. I guess I need to keep looking.

In 2 weeks we are heading to NJ since C has a dance seminar and there is a Joanns about 15 miles from where she is so I am going to look there since it is a different Joann's.

Today I have a few things I want to do including

- Iron fabric for Cs skirt
-Cut Out Easy Fits
and start on a big give outfit.

how awesome he is doing all of that Chiara...you definately deserve to be proud of his progress!! and I'm sure you are relishing those kisses that is a HUGE step for him to make!!!
