sorry if the pictures aren't the best I was using my iPhone.

Chiara, too bad you didn't live near me...I have 2 nieces and 2 daughter-in-laws that all teach 'special needs' students...one is even the director of Special Needs for a small town's school system. They are the sweetest and most understanding young ladies with the children. Hope all goes well and you get the right information and help you need for your DS.

What cute little pants...you've made. When I saw them I got a  I've been sewing for the 7 granddaughters but only made a blanket/quilt for my 13 month old grandson. I wasn't even thinking about making him clothes...duh. Thank you for posting a picture of them - You've opened up a whole new group of projects for me. Now I need to plan another trip to the fabric store for 'Boy' fabric:cool1:
Sheila

Sheila I am browsing etsy right now for boy fabric.

With Js sensory issues and potty training pants are my new thing and trying to make them not like pj pants or sweat pants.

Thanks for clarifying the pronunciation of your name... I was pronouncing it the wrong way all this time - but I've always loved your name - both ways. :thumbsup2

So sorry about all the stress you are under, I just can't imagine how hard it must be for you.

That's right Corrine!

Wow! That is amazing, I am so happy for you that your kids are in the right place and learning in an environment that helps them. :wizard:

D~

Thanks D

I have learned I am my childs best advocate and learned to open my mouth more. I am an extremely shy and emotional person in real life.

Thanks everyone I appreciate the kind thoughts, I know it will work out but it doesn't make it any easier.

I do have some things to post so I will do that later.

I too am very shy and so not confrontational, we ended up just taking action and doing what was best for our kids. My DH took care of informing the Education department of our displeasures...my focus was on getting kids what they needed.

I love the outfits, I am partial to "girl" stuff since DS will only let me sew PJs for him..so that skirt set really caught my eye.

Chiara... I just remembered... You asked about the pirate skirts, and which pattern I used... I just did a regular strip work skirt, did a normal elastic casing at the top and then the bottom band I did the classic Oliver + S band/hem... If you don't have any of their patterns - I highly recommend them, I have learned so much! They are a bit expensive, but well worth it!

Oh, and the reason I responded to you here, is I wanted you to see it. :)

D~

Thanks D I keep debating Oliver & s patterns. I need to see if C likes any.

Well, I purchased a bunch of the patterns to use for BG... I have only done 2 or 3 of those patterns. I am still planning to do the Icecream dress for DD for our trip - the Icecream dress pattern is fabulous! There are lots of new ways of doing things explained in it (you have to read them like 10 times very carefully to understand- at least I did, but once you get it, it's super awesome and makes perfect sense)... There's a really neat way of doing pockets, and the hem I was talking about is also explained on that pattern... I really think I need to get to work resizing it for DD, so I can make her dress. Oldest dd wants one too - but I am not sure if I can resize it that far up??? I will have to see... :thumbsup2

I totally recommend the Oliver + S patterns - probably not so much for beginners - but when you are at a point in your learning that you want to try something new... Honestly O+S's patterns are the only paper patterns I have ever purchased...:wizard:

I am seriously considering the Ice cream Dress C thought it would look cute with leggings

I am so sorry I missed the pictures you posted yesterday... I love how the Scooby pants turned out! You did a fabulous job on them. The outfit for your Etsy store turned out great too! And I love the fabrics you chose for your God son's bday gift! :thumbsup2

This is what V is thinking too... I might actually work on that project this weekend, so you can see how it looks on her. :thumbsup2

So since this is a Disney PTR I will share some Disney news.....

We decided to head to Biergarten for Easter Dinner. We are eating at about 3pm since that is a big heavy meal we figured we could walk around a bit after.

I received an email from AirTran today (we have never used them) saying our flight itinerary had changed and thankfully it did in our favor. We are leaving at 7:29 instead of 8AM in April.

I also started my mini planner for April but left work before emailing it to my home computer :confused3:rolleyes1

I did for our hotel and our first meal :)

yay for your easter dinner and better flight time!!

Yay for Biergarten... I still really want to add that meal for one of our days - but I really don't want to do an OOP meal, I just can't decide.

Yay for better flight times. We flew with AT the last time we went, and the flight attendants were really nice - I didn't like how our original non-stop flight was changed to a lay over in both directions, and our times were changed drastically (by a day on our one flight) - I did call them though, and they did resolve it.

Yay for getting your MP started - that reminds me, I still need to take pictures of mine...

How awesome that you are getting some of your plans finalized! :thumbsup2

Yesterday was spent cleaning part of the basement and moving the Christmas decorations to the attic with the exception of the small Christmas tree that we have been using since we go away now ;).

SO a huge part of the basement has been cleared out. Today I have quite a few things I want to finish so I think it is time for a list.

  1. scooby shirt
  2. cut out cars pants
  3. order shirts for give
  4. order shirts for order (i am waiting to hear from the customer)
  5. pack to scrapbook orders
  6. print labels
  7. drop garbage at the dumpster

Hoping to get it all done but we shall see.

I have been following your ptr from the beginning and it's been a lot of fun. Can't wait to see all the outfits you make this time around!

Biergarten is one of our faves. Last trip, we ate there 3 times! (We have German heritage and everyone in my family but me is picky, and since they all like it, it works.)

We always go during the slow seasons, and I think you are super brave for going during the holidays.

Where are you selling this scrapbook stuff? Is it stuff you bought with the intention of using but aren't so you are selling it? I have a ton of stuff like that and am looking for a good place to unload it:rotfl:

Good luck with your list. I should make a list. I keep making mental lists, but nothing ever gets done. Time to write it down.

Well I actually did everything on my list but the Scooby shirt and started that before I left for work this morning.

I even started sewing the cars pants. My goal is to finish this today.

I also need to start on some of Cs outfits but need to take an inventory first :)

Since I was inspired by D last trip to create a miniplanner that I actually adored. I will be doing that again this trip and I even started it the other day.

Here is the page for our Hotel.

and here is the one I did for our first meal.

right now I am in big countdown mode because on Wednesday I can book our Christmas trip and Friday I can change our resort for August.

:thumbsup2 You made amazing headway on your 'to do' list. Now that I think about it I don't see anything about eating or sleeping so maybe that's how you get so much accomplished.

I  your first two pages. Kidani looks VERY appealing compared with what I'm currently seeing outside my window.

Well I finished the scooby doo outfit and the cars outfit is about 1/3 of the way done. I need to finish it today.

C is sick so she is staying home from school. So I am going to set her up on the couch this morning. she can stay home while DH sleeps.

Bummer that C is not feeling well. Hope she is 100% soon.

Your trip planner looks so cool. Where are you going to stay in Aug and Dec?

I think Airtran is being taken over by Southwest so you might get to check your bags for free.
