Why don't the All Stars have their own little thread too?

LOL!

I see separate threads for a lot of the other Resorts just wondering why there isn't one for the All Stars.

I absolutely love the All Star Resorts and after my first stay at Music in '99 I won't stay anywhere else but an All Star! Would much rather spend the extra money on souvenirs! We stayed in the Calypso building and we loved it! We stayed at Movies Easter 2001 and it was the best time we have ever had at Disney World.

My favorite thing about the Movies is that even when you have to leave the parks you don't feel like you're leaving the magic behind. When you exit Cinema Hall and look at all those beautifully themed buildings you realize you are surrounded by magic 24/7 even at your hotel. I will never forget the look on my 7-year-old niece's face when she saw Andy's Room in the Toy Story section! Toy Story was the first movie she ever saw in a theater and it's been her favorite ever since. We went to Disney in ‘96, they had the Toy Story parade at MGM, and she was mesmerized. It was soo funny because she wasn't talking yet, but on the way back to the hotel (Contemporary) that day she kept patting her head and laughing... because two of the monkeys from the Barrel of Monkeys had patted her on the head! Too cute! So, last year when we surprised her by staying in the Toy Story section, it was priceless! It's one of those things you'll never forget.

Anyone else have favorite memories or favorite things about the All Stars? :D

Annita, I couldn't agree with you more! I may love Dixie Landings, but I love the All-Stars just as much -- just in a different way and for different reasons. I love how you're so immersed in magic at Movies -- everything is so larger than life and just so "Disney!" You can't help but smile, walking around the place. Just made ressies there today for early December, in fact! Can't wait to be back there!! :)

Annita, can you give any info on the Toy story section? I have a trip booked at Allstars and would like a room in that bldg. Any suggestions for the best rooms? Thanks in advance...:)

The All Star Music will always be my first choice, as this was the last place hubby and I shared a "family" trip with our darling daughter. She was 24 at the time and did not want to do all the things Mom and Dad wanted to do, but being the terrific daughter that she is, she went along with the "old folks."
We have been to the AllStar Music three times since then, and each time hubby talks about all the magic we had with her. Our hope is that someday we will be able to bring grandkids to Disney and stay there with them.

I also love the All Star Resorts!!:bounce:
When we took our first trip to Disney last year, I really wanted to stay at Movies but could not get it for the $49.00 rate. I booked Sports and I'm so glad I did! My son, who was 9 at the time, loved it. You can't help but smile when you're walking around the resort. It's such a fun, joyful place to be.

During our trip we visited Beach Club, Poly, and The BoardWalk. They all were amazing resorts with amazing price tags.:D
Right now I'm happy to stay on site as cheaply as I can so that I can stay longer and have more money to spend on food, gifts, tours and all the other extra things.

At the end of our trip my son asked me if we would ever return to Disney again. I said yes and asked if there was a ride he wanted to do when we returned. He replied yes but what he really wanted was to stay at Sports again! He also asked me to ask the CMs to put us in the Surf's Up building again. This has been his only request for our next trip.

I love the All-Stars, too!!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I stayed at the All-Star Music last August for my senior trip. It was wonderful!!! One of my favorite things was hearing 'Be Our Guest' playing in the lobby during our check-in, and then on most mornings on our way to the bus!!

We've stayed at the Movies twice now and we LOVE this hotel!!! Even my teenager thought it was cool! My 5 yr old DD thought it was the best hotel ever! In Nov/Dec 2000, we stayed in Love Bug and she really enjoyed just walking around the hotel and the fact that she knew where our room was and she would be the leader. In Nov/Dec 2001, she had said she would love to stay in "102 Dalmations" with Oddball, and we were able to get the Dalmations section. We arrived around 1:00 AM (late flight), and even though she fell asleep in the car, once we got there and she heard we were going to see the Dalmations, she got her second wind and was absolutely thrilled to see Pongo. Every morning and every evening when we passed by the TV with the puppy, she would play like she was on TV. It was just great seeing her so excited over something so simple.
The CM's are wonderful - the food court is great - and really, none of the rooms are that far from the bus stop; and I think bus service is great at the All-Stars!! Right now, we're trying to decide if we will be back in Dec, or try October and MNSSHP - and we will be back at the All-Stars!!!! We've tried many of the Disney hotels, and we've never been disappointed; but right now, it is great to bring this simple pleasure to my girls!
