and peco bill, the way i read it, jessicas sister was hte one with mrsa, not jessica. and its very easy to NOT spread mrsa as long as you keep your wounds covered/treated. and if ANYONE has mrsa, they probably got it from a public place, like a school, gym, hospital, etc. its very possible andrew was exposed other than jessica, becuase jessica didn't have it, just her sister.

mrsa comes from skin to skin contact with an uncovered, infected area. so i'm not exactly sure how everyone is thinking he got it from her.

it sounds like jessicas feelings were hurt and she just wanted someone to hang out with. and even if she was the one to infect him, no one has any right to be mean to her. it isn't like she woke up that morning and decided to go infect people with mrsa. it was an accident. i've given people chicken pox and the flu before, does that give anyone any reason to be mean to me? no, it doesn't.

and when i'm sick, i don't feel like hanging out with my friends and infecting them. but, jessica isn't sick.

my sister got that from her boyfriend,

The way I'm reading it is BFFs sister, Jessica, has MRSA. This puts BFF at a high risk of contracting it. Little sister Jessica then visits OPs friend Andrew, which also puts him at a high rish of contracting it.

I can't blame you, OP, for not wanting to hang out with them. You need to keep your bases covered, you don't want MRSA. But, you went about it TOTALLY WRONG! It was executed poorly. MRSA is not as bad as you're making it out to be. I had it, contracted through a needle and it ended up into my blood stream. MRSA is dangerous, but it's not as deadly as you make it sound. You don't need to exile her, but just not come in physical contact with her for a bit.

I'm going to have to agree with Shelby here. If she doesn't have it and there's no proof she ever contracted it and gave it to Andrew, then I don't see the big deal. Andrew just needs to get treated and he'll be fine.

Everyone's trying to assess the situation with the (vvery muddled) info you provided us with, no one is claiming to 'know your life' lol
don't ask for advice if you don't want it.

I definitely think your friends who are infected should take some time to get better before going to social events but ostracizing your friends like that it just horrible, and condemning them for 'infecting' someone else...that's really not being a very good friend!! I'm sure Jessica feels terrible enough as it is! She needs real friends who will love and support her through this!
