Why Don't People Give Their Location?

In your profile it asks for your "location" and I'm just wondering why some people would choose NOT to say where they are from. I mean, I wouldn't be really specific but what's the harm in telling at least the state/country you live in?

So, if you didn't give your location, could you tell me why?
I'm just curious.

I always wonder how many people list their correct location in their profile.;)

I don't have a problem telling mine, but Chattyaholic, where is middle-of-the-mitten???

Middle of the Mitten, where is that?

I know where middle of the mitten is! Chatty lives near me, I believe, in the middle of Michigan.

:Pinkbounc

I would guess the middle of the mitten is Michigan, since it's the only state shaped like a mitten.

I would tell you but then some other rich real estate developer would come into town and make another subdivision or two.

I get nervous about putting too much information out over the internet, but I don't have a problem listing my location.

As far as "middle of the mitten", I am guessing middle of Michigan since Michigan is shaped like a mitten.

I think some people don't bother filling out any of that profile stuff. Others prefer to just put something silly.

I hardly ever notice it, unless something they are saying pertains to a certain geographical location. Like if someone talks about driving to WDW, I'll look to see how far from FL they live.

I had where I was from, then I put something silly, now it's back again.

It does bug me when people don't put at least their state - especially if they talk about the weather where they live, how far from WDW they are, or other somewhat location-specific things .

I proudly put my location in - however it is a trivia, just to keep the brain juices flowing.:teeth:

I've always been curious too. I'm sure the OP was just asking a question....

I find it interesting to see where people come from. It's not like anyone needs to put an exact location, but a general area is kind of interesting... atleast to me. Although I do like some of the silly replies too! :teeth:
