Why Don't People Give Their Location?

I don't remember learning the mitten thing in Oregon, either. Do remember learning that Italy was shaped like a boot. If we look at enough states and countries we could come up with a whole wardrobe!

in our geography class, we learned about the mitten..that could be because our teacher was psycho

I learned about the mitten in US Geography in 5th grade in VA. VA geog was in 4th grade. I learned how to say y'all whilst being a damn yankee, I still say it and it makes my neighbors think I am from the south.

I like to know where people are from, but I don't let it bother me if they opt to leave that info out. I wonder if there are poster who fill in the info and *gasp* lie?

Oh and I know exactly where the middle of the mitten is!! (Grew up in Kalamazoo!) I'm suprprised that more people in the U.S. don't recognize that?!?! I guess I'm a Michigan snob.
