We have some friends leaving on the Disney Dream next week and they are going to be booking our May 2012 cruise, along with theirs, while on their cruise. We are looking at the May 20, 2012 cruise but now the lowest priced stateroom is a Dlx Oceanview with Verandah stateroom for right at $3,000. We are really wanting to stay closer to the $2500 price range for our first cruise and with two young kids aren't keen on having a verandah. This past weekend there were still Oceanview staterooms available when there weren't any two weeks ago. The staterooms available seems to fluctuate daily so now I'm practically counting down the hours to my friends' vacation with her.
Does anyone know if they hold back a certain number of staterooms in each class for those on the cruise to book from for an upcoming cruise? I finally convinced DH to go on a cruise and really really want to go on that May 20, 2012 cruise (our anniversary would be spent on the Dream) but if we can only get a $3000 stateroom I don't think I'd be ok with that. My fingers and toes are crossed for an oceanview to open up.
