Why does RCI list Vistana Fountains seperate from the rest?

I have stayed at Sheraton Vistana Resort once before (I think in Cascades section). On the RCI website they list the Sheraton Vistana Resort and Sheraton Vistana Resort Fountains seperately. Anyone knw if the Fountains section is better or worse than the others?

Also, if you could choose between Shertaon Vistana Resort and what used to be Orange Lake (now its Hliday Inn I think), which would you prefer? I am traveling with a friend and my 14 year old daughter who loves making friends.

There weren't too many other options for the end of August left with 2 bedrooms available but if you have suggestions I'm open to change.

Thanks.

I believe that RCI's separate V0450 designation for the Fountains I & II phases has something to do with how RCI assigned trading power for timeshare exchanges. Essentially the higher Fountains trading power assignment benefits Fountains I and Fountains II owner. I think that the higher trading power has to do with the fact that the Fountains phases were the first to have been refurbished at Vistana (2008/2009) and exchanger's satisfaction with those sections. With most other phases now also refurbished (except for Courts) I'd think that other Vistana phases' trading power will be upgraded at some point in the future, too.

Vistana Resort and Orange Lake Resort are two of the largest Orlando-area resorts and, consequently, have lot's of amenities, pool areas, places to eat, etc. We stayed at both more than once and liked both resorts. Some people don't like that OLCC is so spread out and I've seen complaints of having to drive to the pools and such. I suppose that's all a matter of preference as we enjoy the OLCC layout and particularly like the oldest section of the resort (West Village) with it's single- and two-story buildings. Of course there are also lots of amenities and pools at Vistana, too. Though neither of those resorts would be my first RCI choice (the Hilton Grand Vacation Clubs and the Sheraton Vistana Villages would fall into my first choice category for RCI-affiliated resorts) but I think you'd be happy with either OLCC or Vistana Resort and your fourteen year-old will not have difficulty finding others her age.

The two resorts are at sort of opposites ends of Disney (OLCC is off SR 192 in Kissimmee at the southwest - Animal Kingdom area property - corner of Disney while Vistana Resort is toward the northeast - near Downtown Disney and relatively close to Epcot and Hollywood Studios - corner. I don't know if it's fact or not but it seems to me that Vistana is a little closer to more of the Disney parks than OLCC is.
