Why does my cat...

act really sweet, and then suddenly, start attacking me? Usually, I'll be sitting with her, perring her, and she'll be seeminly very happy about it, prancing back and forth, and all of a sudden, chomp, she'll plant a big bite on me.

Anyone else's kitty do this? She is never aggresive except for some times when someone (usually me) is petting her.

Yep, my Sienna's the same way. I attribute it to one of 2 things: it's either a "love bite" (if you watch cats cuddling and grooming each other, they do end up biting), or she's become overstimulated and reacts by attacking.

My cat does this but my cat also has a behavior problem in which she attacks...a lot...like any moving piece of flesh or fur. It is always a very quick change. I figure she doesn't like how i am petting her...or she is having mood swings

My Pumpkin does this all the time. She's all sweet and purring and lovey-dovey, then---CHOMP! Sometimes she'll do a sneak attack on ds8. He'll just be sitting in a chair, and I'll see her stalking him. Then before you know it---she'll chomp on him and run away. If you've ever seen the comic strip Get Fuzzy, she reminds me of Bucky Katt.
