Why do you think I was charged this?

I needed to add to my trip one night to the free dining plan and figured it would be the cost of the room for that night, which Disney shows as $110. I was told it would be $157 to add that. I did not do an extra day of tickets or anything.. and they did not go through customer service like has been done in the past to change things. It is a reservation I made before Dec 20 for free dining.

So before I call back and complain about the difference I figured I better get educated.. What do you think the extra $47 is for? Any ideas? The woman said it was the nightly rate for that night (September 17th) for a preferred room but I don't think so!

Any ideas of what I got charged would help! It is a family of four, two adults, a 13 year old and a 9 year old. Thanks ahead!

Hmmm, I think maybe I know why they show that :thumbsup2

I checked online at the website like you did and got the same $110 figure (plus tax). Then I played around with the total guests thinking that might be the problem and noticed something:

I used ASMU just for this example and priced it with 2 Adults, 2 Children as you posted and got the $110 figure:

Then I priced it with 4 ADULTS, 0 Children (wondering if they might have used this in error)

AHA! Looks to me like they've charged your whole party as adults. Call again and make sure they have the children down correctly :cutie:

*Edited to add - just thought of something else! Did you have everyone down as adults for the Free DDP? If so, another AHA :)

I assume you are at a Value resort. Are you doing the Quick Service plan or the regular dining plan? If you are on the regular dining plan isn't there an upcharge for it. Free dining at a Valule being only the Quick Service Plan.

Oh I bet thats it.. the upgrade to regular dining! We are staying at a value but did upgrade to regular dining so my poor "almost 10 year old" could actually eat at buffets! Those kid portions are perfect for a 4 year old.. but a 9 year old needs more..:sad2:
