I love Disney for its idealism. It's a business, but it's a business model built around the notion of trying to make people's day, and creating an environment where people make each other's days (what's better than getting some pixie dust? sprinking some yourself!). I love all the "believe in your dreams" stuff. I love that I could try any attraction for the first time and be absolutely certain my kids will be exposed to the ideas that are good for them.
I love it for its diversity. You can go repeatedly, you can stay for days, and continuously have new things to see and experience. I love how kid-friendly it is. I know, we could take our kids to great restaurants at home, but it probably won't be as relaxing. Disney makes it eaasy for me to let my kids try so many different cuisines with a high success rate -- there's a little stretch to try some new things at Jiko, at Marrakesh, etc. but also some proven kid-pleasers. One of my kids is definitely an "I'll order chicken fingers or mac and cheese whenever I can" kind of kid at home, but at Disney, he's right there with his more adventurous brothers, trying some Indian, getting up to dance, etc.
I love how some Imagineer somewhere, or a CM, someone has really thought of everything. It doesn't just look right, they make it sound right, they make it smell right. We stay at the WL, and I tell you what the walk from the bus stop might be just a few trees arway from a huge parking lot, but you don't feel that -- you just hear the crickets chirping and the lantern lights flickering a bit and you inhale...and you're just in the woods, not in a gigantic hotel.
