I'm sure she needed the break. But I think it may have been easier for her if it weren't a place that was filled with kids, KWIM? She probably needs a nice relaxing place like Bermuda!

The only way she even agreed to go was so that her other two children could go to Disney World. She DEFINETELY needs Bermuda, but she won't leave her daughter for that. The whole situation is very heartbreaking.

Friday, June 29...Magic Kingdom
The Rest of our Evening in the Magic Kingdom

Hopes:

As we were walking toward Frontierland, the streets were all roped off for Spectromagic that was just coming around the corner. We had seen Spectro last October in this same spot and we thought we would try to skip it. So, I dodged the family through the boardwalk planks near the river ...

But as we got to the halfway point of the boardwalk planks I glanced over and saw absolutely positively nobody at the parade ropes. We had it all to ourselves! So we all went over to the ropes. I laid down all of our beach towels on the ground so Rob & I could sit on the ground (the kids were lined up in their strollers). Spectro was great! And it seemed that many of the characters favored Brookie. She had them coming up to her all the time. Darn it! I wish Rob brought his video camera that night because that would have definitely been a video moment. Oh well, I remember it. We watched the whole parade and when it ended we decided to cut right across the way into Adventureland. The time was about 11:20 pm-ish. I could tell the kids were just starting to get tired but all of us were still not ready to go.

We all just had to ride Pirates one more time. And we practically walked right on! Way to go us!! After Pirates it was time once again for a potty break. And then Rob mentioned about maybe leaving for the night. He was the most tired. I could see it in his eyes. I said nothing and we walked very slowly. As we neared Jungle Cruise, I mentioned about maybe making that our last attraction for the evening. Rob remembered that whenever we have gone on this the lines had been atrocious. I just said that I would run down to check out the line situation and if it was fine we’d all go on it.

Again, total walk on! This attraction at nighttime is really cool. However, as we made our way toward the final “curve” in the river we noticed another boat stuck. A CM was trying to park one of the boats but it konked out on her and she was waiting for backup. Well, we sat there and our CM had to improvise. She really was good. This is where her true skills came in. We were having a really good time. Two more boats came up behind us and they weren’t having as much fun. I think we were stuck there for about 10 minutes or so before the boat in front of us was towed away. Everyone let out a big yell when we finally did go going.

After we exited Jungle Cruise Rob & I decided that we would call it a night now. It was after midnight by this time we were checking out tomorrow morning. I had nothing packed or anything ready at all. So, we slowly started walking back toward Main Street. And that is where I spotted our final PhotoPass CM.

I am not going to post the picture he took right now as that is the one we are using for our Christmas cards. As many of you will be receiving a Christmas card from us, I don’t want to spoil the fun by posting it now. And for all of you who did not want me to send you a card, you’ll have to wait until next week when I post the picture.

And then we made our final walk down Main Street USA. A little bittersweet. I turned around and attempted to take a photo but it didn’t come out as I wanted. Still a nice memory.

We dropped off the stroller, exited the gates, made our way to the bus stop, and finally returned to Port Orleans Riverside. The kids were pooped. I was a bit sad that we would be leaving the next day. I am like that on any vacation, whether it be Disney or our times at the beach. I just want to stay longer. When we got in the room, everyone got ready for bed. I looked around the room and decided that I would just take care of everything in the morning. I planned on calling the front desk early in the morning to inquire about late check out. Hopefully, we could have a late checkout at 1 pm as we didn’t have to be on Disney’s Magical Express until 3:30 pm ...

I guess the characters know a cutie when they see one. It's hard tho because she gets all the attention and the boys really noticed it. I felt a little bad for the boys as they are still young enough to want attention. And yes, 10 minutes seemed like a lot longer. But I guess it could have been even worse ...
