But as we got to the halfway point of the boardwalk planks I glanced over and saw absolutely positively nobody at the parade ropes. We had it all to ourselves! So we all went over to the ropes. I laid down all of our beach towels on the ground so Rob & I could sit on the ground (the kids were lined up in their strollers). Spectro was great! And it seemed that many of the characters favored Brookie. She had them coming up to her all the time.

Great seats for the parade. And :yay: for special attention to Brookie:goodvibes

This is where her true skills came in. We were having a really good time.

Having a good CM on this attraction makes or breaks it:thumbsup2

I can't believe it is your last night:sad1:

What the others don't know is that I will be stalking all of them.

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

I know exactly how you felt about not having the video camera to capture those special Spectro moments. Our very first night in Disney we had some amazing interactions with them during Spectro but my camera batteries died, so no video for us. Oh well, we still have our memories as you said.

As we were walking toward Frontierland, the streets were all roped off for Spectromagic that was just coming around the corner. We had seen Spectro last October in this same spot and we thought we would try to skip it. So, I dodged the family through the boardwalk planks near the river ...

Heh... good luck with that! :rolleyes1

But as we got to the halfway point of the boardwalk planks I glanced over and saw absolutely positively nobody at the parade ropes. We had it all to ourselves!

What!?!?! I'm shocked. Lucky you. :)

So we all went over to the ropes. I laid down all of our beach towels on the ground so Rob & I could sit on the ground (the kids were lined up in their strollers). Spectro was great! And it seemed that many of the characters favored Brookie. She had them coming up to her all the time. Darn it! I wish Rob brought his video camera that night because that would have definitely been a video moment.

I've found that I NEVER have a video camera when I really need one. I've got to work on this deficiency. I miss sooo much. :sad2:

We watched the whole parade and when it ended we decided to cut right across the way into Adventureland. The time was about 11:20 pm-ish. I could tell the kids were just starting to get tired but all of us were still not ready to go.

Wow! You guys are definately WAY more commando than my family. I'm usually passed out by 11:20 pm. :rolleyes1

We all just had to ride Pirates one more time. And we practically walked right on! Way to go us!! After Pirates it was time once again for a potty break. And then Rob mentioned about maybe leaving for the night. He was the most tired. I could see it in his eyes. I said nothing and we walked very slowly. As we neared Jungle Cruise, I mentioned about maybe making that our last attraction for the evening. Rob remembered that whenever we have gone on this the lines had been atrocious. I just said that I would run down to check out the line situation and if it was fine we’d all go on it.

Not a big fan of the Jungle Cruise. Cool beans that you "walked on" PotC. :woohoo:

Again, total walk on! This attraction at nighttime is really cool. However, as we made our way toward the final “curve” in the river we noticed another boat stuck. A CM was trying to park one of the boats but it konked out on her and she was waiting for backup.

OOOH! This sounds interesting. popcorn::

Well, we sat there and our CM had to improvise. She really was good. This is where her true skills came in. We were having a really good time. Two more boats came up behind us and they weren’t having as much fun. I think we were stuck there for about 10 minutes or so before the boat in front of us was towed away. Everyone let out a big yell when we finally did go going.

Had Rob passed out from exhaustion yet?

I am not going to post the picture he took right now as that is the one we are using for our Christmas cards. As many of you will be receiving a Christmas card from us, I don’t want to spoil the fun by posting it now. And for all of you who did not want me to send you a card, you’ll have to wait until next week when I post the picture.

Oooh, Oooh, I want a Christmas Card. :hyper:

And then we made our final walk down Main Street USA. A little bittersweet. I turned around and attempted to take a photo but it didn’t come out as I wanted. Still a nice memory.

:sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

We dropped off the stroller, exited the gates, made our way to the bus stop, and finally returned to Port Orleans Riverside. The kids were pooped. I was a bit sad that we would be leaving the next day. I am like that on any vacation, whether it be Disney or our times at the beach. I just want to stay longer. When we got in the room, everyone got ready for bed. I looked around the room and decided that I would just take care of everything in the morning. I planned on calling the front desk early in the morning to inquire about late check out. Hopefully, we could have a late checkout at 1 pm as we didn’t have to be on Disney’s Magical Express until 3:30 pm ...

Just hit that swimming pool all morning. I'll be you guys were pooped after that long day!

NOW YOU TELL ME THIS!! :santa:
Oh dear me! You weren't supposed to see that secret I told Scott ... :rolleyes1

Yup. Those were great seats and it is a nice parade. We don't do any other parades. Writing these last couple of updates is getting really hard on me ... :guilty:

What do you do? It's up to Rob to bring the video camera. Sometimes it's good; other times it's not. I do have the entire SpectroMagic on video tape from last October. I just wanted to get the interaction with Brookie.

I've found that I NEVER have a video camera when I really need one. I've got to work on this deficiency. I miss sooo much. :sad2:
It's one of those things that you really want to have for all those special moments yet hauling it around really sux.

While we may be more commando than the Mills' family, we really aren't so much commando. That was our last night and we wanted to make the most of it, especially after the morning Brookie & I had. Most of time we were in earlier. Going in October, like you do, really makes you have more rest time. Rob & I really liked Oct/Nov better than June when you weigh all your options.

Who is this stranger that comments on my TR? This time I was keeping quiet but I noticed that you hadn't been here in quite awhile. But I'm glad you're back and enjoyed it!

OMG! Someone gave me lingerie as a gift on my MySpace virtual Christmas tree! But they didn't leave their name. Now that's just not nice. I love the kinky lingerie but I'd like to know who sent it!! :rotfl2:

After some heavy thinking, I believe it's Rob Thomas that left me the lingerie. Yea, that's who it was. I'm sure of it. :cloud9:

I had nothing packed or anything ready at all.
