Boys Day at Blizzard Beach


Hopes:
1. More PhotoPass pictures taken
2. Rob, Evan & Alec have a great boys day...
3. Brooke & I have a great girls day
4. My feet feel better with the blisters
4. A meeting with the Dream Team

Wants:
1. A good lunch at Cinderella’s Royal Table
2. A fun mommy/daughter day.
4. Have a good short rest at the resort in the afternoon
5. A good dinner at Raglan Road in DownTown Disney with the whole family.

Blizzard Beach EMH opened at 8 am so Rob & the boys definitely wanted to be there by then. So they woke up at the last possible moment, ate a couple of donuts, hopped in their bathing suits, and headed out to the bus at 7:20 am. The rest of this just does not go in any order as Rob is the worst for giving me details. So, here’s what they did. They all went around Cross Country Creek. The boys had fun on the ice floats in Tike’s Peak. They went to Melt-Away Bay and did some waves. They went up the Chair Lift and and went down Teamboat Springs. They all had fun on Runoff Rapids a couple of times. Actually, Alec only did it once because, so I’m told, he was too tired to walk the stairs back up. So Rob plopped him down next to a lifeguard and told him not to move until they came back down. Nice dad, eh? Alec was fine though. Now, for the most exciting part! They all went up the stairs to Summit Plummet but Alec was just too short for it (with sneakers he’s 48 inches but not without). So, Evan bravely went down Summit Plummet all by himself. My preemie baby going down Summit Plummet! Ahhhhhhhhh....even I did not go on that the last time I was at Blizzard Beach. My baby is growing up.

Blizzard Beach started getting crowded after noon so they all made it back to the resort just before 1 pm. They changed and went to Riverside Mill for lunch.

I know this is the most boring update ever. I thought I’d just get this one out so I can get going on my Magic Kingdom update. That update will not disappoint you!

So, Evan bravely went down Summit Plummet all by himself. My preemie baby going down Summit Plummet! Ahhhhhhhhh....even I did not go on that the last time I was at Blizzard Beach. My baby is growing up.

I know this is the most boring update ever. I thought I’d just get this one out so I can get going on my Magic Kingdom update. That update will not disappoint you!

Evan is more brave than I am, LOL. Good for him!!! It was not a boring update, just a brief one because you want to get us to the good part (GIRLS DAY!!). Can't wait to read more .

Berlin? I'll have to get out my map and look up where everything is. I'm not too too familiar with the cities in Germany. And the Black Forest sounds amazing. Wasn't that where Hansel & Gretel lived? You remember that scary fairy tale, right?

Berlin is the capital of Germany and it is in the north east, while Munich (and Nuremberg) are in the south east. For you they might seem quite close, it's about 300 miles away, but in European dimension that is the other end of the country

So, got through several pages of posts... Loved the AK update! Flame Tree really has some really beutiful outdoor seating! It is my favourite AK restaurant! And I am glad that you got to see FOTLK! I am not at all a show person but this show was really incredible, it is a must see for me at AK!!!

I am gald that you are feeling better now, sorry that your weekend was filled with all this unpleasant things. But at least you managed to get that car! It looks very nice!

I am really looking forward to reading what you girls did at MK! But it sounds like the boys had fun at BB on their own!

Hi DM, I had a few minutes in between the pool and going to the Pirate & Princess Party so I used it to catch up on you TR (isn't that sweet of me to catch up while on vacation ) AK day sounded like a lot of fun and it sounds like the boys had fun at Blizzrd Beach

I see you corrected your "hiking" . Your hiking trip sounds very interesting. Did you take any pictures? I am extremely interested in pictures of Germany.

I love when they ham it up too! It really makes for fun pictures. It really is wonderful having having kids and enjoying Disney with them. Of course, I would have had fun in Disney no matter if I ever had kids (but I'm glad I did).

I totally agree that Flame Tree's outdoor seating is wonderful. And to think we almost went to Tusker House. I am really glad we ended up at Flame Tree.

Yes, Rob & Alec walked back down the stairs. Rob was disappointed because he couldn't even watch Evan go down. There is no BBB....just a day at the MK ~ just me & Brookie.

We went car shopping today. Rob has a Jeep Grand Cherokee that the lease is up at the beginning of September. We were debating on what to get next but just couldn't decide. We basically just need a car for him to go back and forth to work and sometimes for me to go grocery shopping. Therefore, we wanted a car that had excellent gas mileage. But we weren't sure on leasing or buying. Well, we ended up leasing a Dodge Caliber for 27 months. It gets 26 city and 30 highway. That's pretty good. Plus it's a cute car. We got a white one...

We pick up the car on Thursday. I'll take a picture of it and post it then.

In the Dodge Showroom they had a new Dodge Grand Caravan R/T that I fell in love with. Oh baby...this car had windows that came down on the side doors and swivel captains seats with a table that you can set up. Our 3 kids could play a game whilst on a road trip! Plus 2 DVD screens and GPS and so much much more. It listed at just over $31,000 which I didn't think was bad for everything you get in that car. Now, it's on my wish list as I do love the Grand Caravan I have now but I just want to run it into the ground before buying a new one. It's totally paid off and we want to save money for a nicer one next time.

Okay, end of my day rant and next update is not until Monday.

The boys are spending the night at my in-laws. Rob is buying a bottle of Pinot Grigio for us tonight. Okay, probably just me... I'll let you all use your imagination from there.

I have to admit when I saw the red, I was excited because I thought that was IT and it would go with your red hair! But white's ok too...

Good Blizzard Beach update...especially for what you had to work with (Men! ) I have not been on the Summit Plummit either....if the line was not so long every time I went there, maybe I would not chicken out!
