Twice now when we've left Disneyland late at night I've been frustrated with what they do with the parking garage exits. Usually they have the cones set up that you can still go to the right and use Ball road to get to the 91. A couple of times though they set up cones so you could not go to the right, you were forced to go straight and get on the 5. The first time they did this we took it to the 57 and got stuck in a massive backup due to an accident. Having an hour added to your drive home at 1am just because they blocked access to your normal route for unknown reasons was frustrating to say the least.
They did this again when I was there last week and I clearly wasn't the only one irritated by it. 3 out of the 4 cars that were around me pulled a U-turn to get back to Ball road instead of going to the 5. Is there any logical reason for them blocking access to Ball or are the traffic coordinators just sadistic. The "sadistic" label is supported by what they did on one really busy day that I tried to visit the park. They had signs at all parking lots directing you in another direction to get to parking. Funny thing was, all they did was direct you right back out of the park. "Welcome to Disneyland! Buh-bye!"
