Why do Star and Joy hate each other?

I happened to tun on the TV when The View was on the other day and was surprised at how nasty those two where to each other. What gives?

I saw one thing on them and it was when Star was on the phone talking about her surgery and Joy was whispering laughing not so nicely to one of the other hosts, she also pasted a note and laughed and rolled her eyes....I dont watch teh show but that newsclip sure looked like Joy was not nice!

I think The View has run it's course, and it's time for ABC to find another show for that time slot. Meredith will be leaving, and everyone else, with the exception of Elizabeth, is a waste of time. I hate, hate that show.

Elizabeth is my least favorite, she is one of those Bush people who thinks he has done nothing wrong, ever. I don't think Star and Joy hate each other, I think they just disagree sometimes. Joy is my favorite.

Did you see it when Meredith made her announcement, Joy was the first to say she would miss her and Barbara jumped all over her for speaking first. And Joy was annoyed. The other threads talking about how insincere they think Katie Couric or Meredith are should have seen Barbara that day, what a fake.

But I do agree that the View may have run it's course. I tape it and than watch it while I exercise and I find myself fast forwarding through a lot of it.

I used to like the View but now I can't stand it. You can't understand what they're saying half the time because everyone is talking over the other person. I like the idea of the show and how all the women are different, but I agree, I think The View has run its course (or it atleast needs a complete overhaul!).

Because Star is annoying & self centered... That being said I can't STAND the show... I couldn't even believe when I heard that it's been on for 9 years already! Time to go, imho!

Make that 2. I think she's funny and refreshingly honest. I don't watch the show too often as I work full-time, but I agree with Marybet about Elizabeth--now IMO SHE'S annoying!

Love Joy. She brings the snark. So funny!

Hate Elizabeth. Sooo condescending and holier than thou. She seems like she's 70, not in her 20's.

Don't hate Star, but don't like her, either. She is pretty self centered and over the top. "My wonderful husband, my great weight-loss body, my wonderful law career,my , my, my!! Ugh.

Like Meredith- she can get silly and tries too hard to be outrageous sometimes, but she's okay in my book.

Meh on Barbara. She doesn't let us know anything about herself, IMO. Too controlled for a talk show host. But I admire her as a journalist- she is a pioneer in women's TV news.

My best friend's husband works for the show in a technical capacity. He gives us some "dirt" on the View girls sometimes, and it's a hoot to hear! (And please don't ask me to spill! I don't want to get the guy in trouble.)

Next time I see him (probably tomorrow), I'll ask if there is some kind of rivalry going on between Joy and Star. If it's not too naughty, I'll post it.

Meanwhile, I have to say that I sincerely hope the show goes on for my girlfriend's sake. Her DH really enjoys his job, and it puts food on their table.

I've only watched The View 2 or 3 times and have ended up turning the channel immediately afterwards.. I think its nothing but a handful of women who each want to be the center of the show.. You cant understand any of them half the time anyways because all they do is talk over each other.. Once one starts talking then another starts, but talks even louder.. Than another one chimes in before the other one finishes talking .. blah blah blah...
