Planogirl said:Papadeuce, maybe if you kick back and really think about it, you'll realize that there are rude people in all age groups. We tend to overlook those people who aren't rude and the rude people just stand out. I suspect that way more older people are polite and quiet but you just don't notice them. Know what I mean?
Yeah, I know that. I get irritated easily. But I hope I never treat people rudely before I have been treated rudely.
On the PLUS side, I have also told many a good story about nice things people have done. Like that time I posted how proud I was of that young guy who raced down my street at about 50 MPH. If you remember, I screamed the "F Bomb" at him in front of my kids. I was so embarrassed. But then he came back to my home like 15 minutes later and apologized and explained. I shoook his hand and would have hugged him if I had actually known him.
I'm sure MOST older folks are polite. The ones who get to me are the ones who seem to feel like their advanced age gives them the right to do whatever they want, to whomever they want. But that would also be true of any aged person. However "I" think it happens more with older folks, at least in my experience.
To the poster above: No, I don't feel the need to tell these stories to seem cool. I tell them as a release for my frustration. Though I do admit to a certain "satisfaction", at being able to tell people that I don't appreciate their innapropraite actions.
