Why do people dig up threads that have been dead for a looooong time?

Ours still have them, and they are pretty new!

I tried to get those new kind in RED that were turbo everything but DW said we didn't need something that big.

I can't wash my new fluffy, down comforter until I drag it into a laundromat with one of those over-sized washers.

OK, this is weird. I posted on this thread, but now my post is missing, as is the post I quoted. But I'm still subscribed.

And on another thread, I tried to do a quick post on something, hit "reply," got taken to the "go advanced" screen, and then when it finally did get submitted, my post was there twice.

I think I've entered the Twilight Zone...

Maybe all of this was simply a burp in the Time/Space continuum?

Really? I thought only moderators could do that. All I did was ask a question about something the poster said about being harassed - I thought she was joking, but I wasn't totally sure. Maybe it was the OP? I don't even remember who I quoted now. Oh well. The funny thing is that I completely agreed with it being frustrating to reply to a old thread

She had a mod help her to delete stuff.

you are correct, only a mod can change/delete posts.

You CAN change anything you post if the thread is still open.

but a lot of people will do than, then change the first post if they don't like how a thread is going.

hence the creation of the NEW rule!!

I will sometimes do a search for something, and an old thread will pop up. I don't really look at the date to see when it was posted originally.
