Why do I cry at Philharmagic?

I cried the when I saw Philharmagic for the first time in December. I just thought it was beautiful, and encompassed everything Disney.

That's my reaction to the music for SpectroMagic. I have seen it several times and start crying every time I hear those brass instruments. I even started crying when I heard the music on the Travel Channel program when they were explaining all the technology that goes into that parade. :goodvibes It's everything I love about Disney!

I might not tear up :guilty: but I absolutely love that show. It is my favorite.

I cry all the time at Wishes and Philharmagic.

It isn't a sad cry, but a happy cry that I am there! Actually, it is a sad cry when I see these things on my last night, because I realize I have to leave. But I always see these my first night and cry because I'm so happy to be there!!

I can't wait for my trip in September!!

It's that smell of the apple pie......does it to me every time.....yup, that's.my.story.and.I'm.stickin'.to.it!!

-Wishes makes me tear up too, especially the wee one's voice.

This thread actually made me tear up!!!! I cry at EVERYTHING in the World!! The ones that get me the most are the nighttime shows. Fantasmic, Spectro, Illuminations (We Go On gets me every time), Tapestry of Nations/Dreams (miss it!!), and the worst culprit?? WISHES. I am a mess by the end of that show!!!! lol!

Once when we saw it, my sister and I went back to the MK for just that "one more show" before we left and the guy in front of us proposed right when Jiminy Cricket says "what do you wish for?" I think I was actually crying harder than his finacee!! :)

Wishes does it to me, too. Somehow it encompasses the true Disney ideals.

Um, yeah...I've cried during IASW...and during the American Adventure at Epcot. I hate crying.

I can't hold back. Especially when Jasmine hands Donald the hat and he says "Thank You", thats it, I lose it!

I think it's because you are secretly in love with Donald but can't get over the lisp and the waddling! :goodvibes

Don't worry, I cry during It's A Small World, the fireworks and Spectromagic! I don't know what it is about Disney that brings out the little kid in me...

I can't even watch videos of WDW without getting emotional.

My husband said I should get used to it because when my elderly parents go with me I'll look stupid bawling in every photo. Then my little niece is going with us for the first time.

Philharmagic, Spectro, Wishes, Parades, Festival of the Lion King, Small World, Soarin.
Heck, even the opening song for MK makes me misty eyed.

I guess I'm emotional.

I'll seek help when the fish sticks at Columbia Harbour House make me cry. :thumbsup2

Phew, I feel better. I thought the tears was just me. I always have to quickly put on the sunglasses. lol

I often get misty-eyed at Broadway plays. Especially well done musicals. (Hello, Dolly!, Cats, 42nd Street, Chicago, Miss Siagon, A Chorus Line, Grand Hotel, and many others I've seen on Broadway, that really moved me.)

Why do I get a tear? (Kinda strange for a grown man I reckon.) I gave it some thought, and I believe it's because I am really moved by the creative genius behind the making of a musical. The dancing, the singing, the acting, the costumes, the lighting, the sets, the orchestra, the theatre itself, all coming together to create what to me is nothing short of wonderful.

Perhaps the OP has some of the same thoughts while enjoying Walt Disney World.

Just a guess.

I get teary eyed at so many things in Disney World. I think that Philharmagic is a great example of the fun things, the good things, the magic that surrounds us when we are at Disney World. There are many things in life that can make our hearts swell and tears come to our eyes, the birth of a child, graduations, weddings and even just a special card drawn by your favorite little kindergartener, and Disney is right up there with all of the special events in our lives. We remember the wonder of our first trip and we love to experience the delight in watching someone new find the magic! It just doesn't get much better than that! :wizard:
