I asked my son to come up with a thread. He wants to know why is the food in the buffets at WDW so good?

Thanks.

:cool1: :lmao: :wizard: :3dglasses :hourglass :dance3: :rolleyes1 :yay: pirate: :rotfl2: :happytv: :) :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: ;) :artist: popcorn:: :bounce:

:) Cool thread!

It is partly because something eaten in a fun place is likely to seem good because we are already having a good time.

It is so good because you are at WDW and it is secretly sprinkled with pixie dust!! pixiedust:

You took my answer. ;) It's gotta to be that Pixie Dust!

Pixie Dust: What is IN the Pixie Dust. Cracked researchers have discovered that Pixie Dust is actually a Hunger inducing Compound found naturally in Chocolate and Twinkies. This compound is known to cause people to eat up to 3 times their body weight in "Buffet Food", a substance they normally would only eat 2 times their body weight in. This "dust" is used by a certain "Mouse" to lure otherwise normal people into a state of mind known as "Happy Eat". The result is, on average, an increase of 1 to 2 inches in the waist line per 3 days at WDW.

Be Forwarned about the Evil Pixie Dust :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:  :woohoo: pirate: :rolleyes1 :stir:

If you indulge in Pixie Dust you may need to :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :yay: :yay: :bounce:

Wow...I guess that Pixie Dust doesn't work on me.
I go to Disney...eat at the good places and still come out losing weight. Must be all that walking.

Calories don't count in WDW!

It's so good because:

1) everyone takes the time to enjoy it! They're not worried about getting to soccer practice or doing homework, or cleaning their room (kids) or making dinner or assignments at their job, or doing laundry (adults)

2) everyone has a pretty good appetite because of all the walking and exercise you get

3) everyone is probably still riding high on endorphins from all thr rides, characters, etc.

4) WDW food just tastes good. I really think they hire pretty good chefs for the most part.

It also may be because Disney uses Real Butter. Not Artificial Butter Flavored Grease. And they use a lot of Bacon :thumbsup2  :woohoo:

Wow hope Im that lucky! Do you eat dessert when at WDW? lol Anyway, I would say kids think the food is great because they get to eat things most parents dont make everyday. Chicken nuggets, french fries, mac and cheese, pizza and hamburgers..Not to mention the fact that its WDW!!

It's good because it's the one time of year Mom and Dad let you have exactly what you want and don't nag you to eat your broccoli ;)

...so why does it still taste so good at 21?!

Because as long as Mickey or the Princesses or (insert favorite character here) is in the room, many kids would eat a shoe with cheese on it and be happy to do it? :)

Seriously, between the atmosphere, the away-from-home factor, the characters and the actually-pretty-good food, it's not bad to begin with. Anyone else remember when WDW food meant a hamburger or a hotdog? They've come a looooong way, even if we still have some issues here and there.

Because chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese taste better when they're shaped like Mickey. :earsboy:

And you can eat at 3 star restaurants in your shorts and t-shirts.

I think it helps that it's one of the few places where mom and dad can get a great meal and they're not only tolerant of kids, but cater to them.

Yup. I prolly eat more food than I usually do when I"m at WDW too.
Its weird. but I like it.

The server at 'Ohana's breakfast said Mickey comes early himself and cooks the eggs, I figure thats why they were so good. :goodvibes

Thanks Mickey, for the eggs and the real butter. Don't want any of that artificial butter flavored grease. :grouphug: pixiedust: :dancer: michael :figment: dad :mickeyjum :jumping1:
