After all these years---------I finally tried a dole whip pineapple float! Heaven! Pure heaven! DF became so obsessed with it that he wanted to make a trip on Sunday when we were at Epcot just to get one! I think I've created a monster! I can forsee him asking every weekend to go get one! Oh my!

I too just tried a Dole Whip for the first time. I guess we just didn't spend much time in this area because until these boards and some podcasts were discussing them I had never heard of them. Anyway they are fantastic and couldn't walk past them without getting one the rest of our trip. I can't wait till August to get another one.

Anyone know if these are a snack on the dining plan or not? I know they made some changes and haven't been able to find this out.

Thanks

I feel like such a black sheep ... are my DH and I the only ones on these boards who thought the Dole Whip was a tad too "tart"? In fact we couldn't finish one between us because of the sour taste.

I also had my first one last weekend. I loved it, but DF wasn't thrilled....he doesn't usually like ice cream/icee type things. I, on the other hand, will not be going to the park without getting one.

They are located just after you enter Adventureland, before Jungle Cruise, on the right hand side.

dixiedizfan -- don't feel bad, like I said DF gave me an odd face when I made him taste it...he thought it was too tart as well.

Thank you, thank you!

I've never had one, I must put it on my 'to do' list. last time I went (Dec 05) it was so cold we didn't think about ice cream.

jezabella, do you live in one of those beautiful homes in Celebration? Is it nice living there?

I just have to make due with my once a year trip to Disney to get a Dole Whip. Wish I could go more often (sigh).

A home I improvise, I make my own Pineapple Floats. I use pineapple juice, vanilla ice cream and fresh pineapple spears. I know it's not the same thing, but it's at least in the ballpark! Also figure it makes a little healthier treat for the kids than rootbeer floats and always brings up great Disney conversations when we are eating them.

DW and I have been going to Disney for many years and have never tried a Dole Whip , this trip will be different. We'll be making a special stop .

I've never had a Dole Whip and I have read on the boards to make it a "must do" and I haven't yet. It's on the top of the list for the next trip.

Yum, don't get me started on earl of sandwich. While I love their sandwiches, their salads are to DIE for! They have my favorite ranch dressing which I have never been able to find in the store. They are the only place I know of that's relatively close by that serves it....mmmmm..creamy. :goodvibes

We have been having Dole Whips for years now. They are the best in the world. We always have them many many times on every trip. :)

Wow, I've had Dole Whip available to me at my local neighborhood ice cream stand for years...didn't realize how lucky I am!

That being said, they don't have a Pineapple Float - perhaps I'll need to do some research and provide them a description of what would surely be a new sensation on their menu :rolleyes1

I have never had one but we will definately try one this trip. My DD does not like pineapple :confused3 - do they have other flavors?? :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

I have to have at least one dole whip every trip.

You're not alone. My son and I didn't like it at all. :sad2:

We also didn't like the school bread or the beaver tail (the topping was good but the rest was awful) that I just had to have after reading about them here.
