Why did you choose a DFTW?

we choose disney because we wanted something different & loved travelling to wdw/florida for vacation, this also allowed us to have our 50 closest family & friends for an intimate occasion. ive always loved disney too, ive been every year since i was 3. as for family & friends no explanation was needed we were happy & thats what matters, plus everyone had a great vacation out of it. :goodvibes

My family is not close. They all fight, they all hate each other. Some of them hate me. My fiance's mom doesn't approve of me, even after 8 years. His sister hates his brother, and his brother is the only one who is nice to us. We both feel like crap most of the time. We're always in the middle of someone's disagreement. I wanted a day where I could relax, be happy, and feel special. Disney's wedding services are amazing. You don't get better food or better service anywhere. I'm imagining myself arriving in a horse drawn carriage! I'm imagining the beautiful flowers and the fireworks. It's a dream experience, and every bride deserves it!

We chose a DFTW (VR actually) because Disney is one of my favorite places. Dh proposed to me at Disney and we have visited every year since we first met. Our actual wedding was a JOP ceremony due to time constraints and while we planned to have another ceremony soon after we never knew when DH would have time off. Now that his deployment is over we know which days we will have off and so we decided to have a VR ceremony at Disney. It will be just the two of us with our son and my mom -- just a nice, simple ceremony :cloud9:

I went to the Grand Opening of Epcot when my Mom was pregnant with me, so I didn't have much of a choice! :lmao:

I've been a Disney fanatic my entire life, along with my family.

Plus, my parents are from Florida and my entire family still lives in Florida, so it was easy to get everyone there...just a 2 hour drive at most! :thumbsup2

My DH & I also wanted a small wedding and a Disney Intimate Wedding was perfect!

I wanted an affordable wedding and didn't want to do much planning and Disney fit the bill!

It was a dream come true!!

I told my family when I was 11 that I wanted to get engaged or get married at Disney! Well, I made it happen...hehe!! :teeth:

:lovestruc :cloud9: princess: :bride: :groom: :love2:

I just knew that if I could trust anyone to make our day perfect it would be Disney. :cloud9:

And to be honest you would be very hard pushed to find a more beautiful location for a wedding.

When my bf and I went to Disney this year, he told my mom that he was going to marry me, that night at dinner.
She was staying at the Poly and we were standing infont of the WP on the dock where he took a pic of my mom and I. When we got home my mom said it would be nice if we could go back for a DFTW and I said, "well, I'd have to be the one that got married there, cause I'm the Mickey Mouse Freak!" And she suggested we find out how much it would be to have a wedding there! Supprisingly, my DF was happy with the idea!!! AND having the wedding there allowed us to have a much smaller wedding without costing as much as it would have had we had a traditional wedding!!! (less people=less money) I've never been so happy as I have been planning my DFTW!!! :cloud9:
I hope you and your daughter have as much fun as my mother and I have had so far!
And, I'm sure people will understand! And if they don't, then don't worry about them! It's a magical place where dreams come true!

We are having it there because I have wanted to get married in DIsney ever since I was a little kid.. i have been going there before I was born... my parents honeymooned there... I love WDW and always wanted that fairytale wedding... :bride:
