Why did they take off waitimes for rides off the apps

I see that they took off the wait times part of the app for all attractions on the website.. I use to like to go on and see what the times were to just have a little bit of park enjoyment when I can't go.. Why take that off??

They didn't take it off - they moved it so you have to jump through hoops to find it.

It's under "Attractions" on the side-scrolling bar at the top of the app. You can tap the funnel to sort by location (and other factors), and the three little lines to see a text view rather than the map view. No way to sort by wait time length, but you can see what's near you on the map view.

There are other wait time apps available out there, I like much better then the Disney app. Check Undercover tourist, they have a free one. TP has one which you have to pay for.

I wish they would have left it alone. It's the first time in years I've seen10 min wait time for TSM at HS though.

If you click the menu button in the top left corner, and click wait times, there you can select a park and sort by wait times, as well as by name and location in the park.

From the Home page of the app, go to Attractions at the top of the screen.

There will be a couple of buttons to choose a specific park and a list of attractions with Wait Times.

No, but with the update, they made them MUCH more inconvenient to find.

The update just doesn't seem to be as user friendly as the old version.

1) I am not sure why the map is the default view when pushing the attractions menu

2) I am not sure why (by default) they show you EVERY attraction for every park.

3) The wait times are there .. but they are now "hidden" by being displayed in the same font and same color as everything else.


Maybe the app acts better when you are IN the park and just brings up the list of that park you are in?

The new update took this option away - that is what the OP poster was asking about. You now have to go to the home screen and select attractions and then you can filter by park and/or other options.

My app is no longer displaying the wait times for rides. Does any one else have this issue or now anything about it? I can still find the character wait times under "Entertainment".

You can find the wait times under the attractions tab. Use the "list" toggle at the bottom to change from the map view, and the "funnel" toggle at the bottom to narrow the list down to one park. By default, the list is sorted alphabetically, and there does not appear to be an option to sort by wait times.

I find it very easy. It's starts up on the home page, just swipe to the park you want to look at, then tap on the Explore park name and guess what, up pops a screen with all the attractions, the wait times and locations map. Very easy, different but easy.

I have to say...MUCH EASIER to find before the update. Disney should let the Dis handle these things for them. I really didn't notice any of this until just a few minutes ago when I read this thread. I opened the app and kaboom....wait times [which I believe most people use the most frequent] is gone. Followed the advice of a few posters and found it but dang....looking up "wait times" on a moving bus as we make our way to the park is going to be a nauseous experience for sure...
