Why did the table service restaurants not switch to the whole wheat buns?

First I want to say that I think the whole wheat buns at the counter service locations taste horrible and I wish WDW would switch back to the white buns. Anyway I was wondering if the counter service locations swithced to the whole wheat buns, how come the table service locations did not? I ordered Cheeseburgers at the ESPN Club and Beaches & Cream so I was happy to see they still had white buns, because they taste a lot better and don't fall apart when you hold them.

I can only say what my limited experience was. We had burgers at Sci Fi and they had regular delicious (white) buns. I actually like wheat buns... just not the ones Disney uses. They could use some help getting some wheat buns that actually taste good. I don't mind their switch to wheat... just that they chose one's that happen to be gross. :)

Those wheat ones are nasty, it's all about cost though, i'm sure. I read a post on here a while ago where a family actually brought their own buns with them, I might actually do that on our next trip, crazy as it may be

I am with you on the bun thing. I avoid eating anything served on a bun at counter service locations. And if I really want my burger I have them hold the bun. There is only so many chicken strips I can eat.

Actually, I think it's more about the Nutrition Police that came after Disney World. Even on vacation, those Police have to make sure you eat correctly because you can't decide things like that on your own.

So true and nutz too!
But not chocolate covered nutz, cause that would be illegal....just saying!:littleangel:
