Why did I only get a 20% off code?

Not to be greedy, but why is everyone else getting 40% off but I only got 20%? Is it because we go so often that they don't feel they need to offer us as much?

I just got off the phone with a cm, and he says there will be 20, 30, and 40% off coupons.

Did you get a pin code? I think the giving of codes (other than AP & FL resident) are completely random.

We go a few times a year and have never gotten a pin code, so congrats if you got one. We have some friends that go about as much as we do and they have gotten codes, so I don't think it matters how often you go. With the AP discount it varies from resort to resort. The current AP discount is about 40% off at AKL yet only about 11% off at WL.

Speaking from the point of view of someone who has never got a code and has paid full fare every visit....20% sounds pretty darn good to me!!!!!

^^^ I did get a pincode on a flyer that was sent to me after I ordered the free DVD. I am still excited to get it, but then I saw all of the 40% discounts and wondered why mine was lower.

I am only saving around $200 at CSR, but it is better than nothing!

Try ordering the free DVD, that is how I got mine! BTW, the code came in the mail 2 weeks AFTER I received the DVD.

I never got anything in the mail but I called today and had 2 codes attached to my name. One for this month and one for October (my dates). It is also 20%. I'm grateful for anything I can get! It beats AAA by 5%, and if I can get an AP rate that is better I'll take that one instead

Add me to that list. I've tried everything. I ordered the DVD, I have the Visa card (new code doesn't work for our dates), I am a AP holder (code ends 2 days prior to our arrrival), I call regularly and I haven't gotten any discounts at all. So here's my question why did you get 20% off and I've gotten nothing????

Man, I ordered my DVD in JANUARY and STILL haven't gotten it!!! I'm gonna have to do a reorder - after I call to see if I have a code!!

The weird thing is that I got the DVD a while back and I just got the flyer in the mail yesterday (it says my DVD is on its way???). So just because you haven't gotten a code yet doesn't mean you won't.

But the really weird thing is that just two days ago I called to see if I had a code attached to my name. The person asked me when I was planning to go and I said July. He said no code. (Then yesterday I get the flyer that says I do have a code for certain dates in August, September, etc.) This makes me believe that anyone who calls to inquire about codes should specify that you are planning to go in the off-season, such as late August or September. I bet a code will mysteriously appear next to your name.

I think my code had to do with ordering the DVD, I just wasn't notified I had one. They said there were a TON of codes so I think it would be worth it to call and ask. Both CMs told me there were THOUSANDS of codes and offers to go through.

I order the DVD every year, plus the ones for DVC and the Disney Cruise Line. I have an AP and the Disney VISA, plus I go to WDW three-five times a year. I've done every survey they send me and also do the surveys every time I get stopped in the parks for one. I've made sure my email address and mailing address are correct in their system. However, I've never received a code. They appear to be completely random.

^^^ I just wanted to say that the flyer that I received did not look at first glance like it would have a discount. It looked like a simple advertisement mailer sent to everyone.

The discount was not mentioned until the inside third page. So the moral of the story is to look very carefully at all Disney mail.
