Why DH's family make me mad!

"Get a grip" that was NOT necessary at all! She was venting, she may have been wrong in your opinion or mine but you don't need to be so mean about your responses.

It seems like when one person makes a negative comment the vultures all jump in. The OP didn't kill someone or even say anything to them.

Slow Saturday morning for you, wake up on the wrong side of the bed? GEESH!

Get a grip, they let you use their pool and now you are whining about something that is not even a big deal? Life is short, in the grand scheme of things this is not even a blip on the radar screen!

:sad2:

Holy Crap! I agree the OP should have gotten the darn stroller herself but this post is just mean spirited! :sad2: :sad2:

Boy, there are some tough responses here to OP just venting. Yes, DH should have picked it up but he was working late. What was wrong with the in laws just leaving the stroller at their house instead of putting it in any one of their vehicles? That way, OP and her DH could pick it up later. I do agree that it is ultimately OP and her DH's responsiblity to pick up the stroller but no one told the in laws to move it around. It might be worth calling the dealership to see if you could pick up the stroller but since it isn't your car, they probably aren't going to let you take anything out of it. I hope you have a good trip in spite of the problems.

Maybe the op has had previous problems with the in-laws and she is overreacting a bit. Your in-laws probably put it in the car to keep it from being rained on or maybe they borrowed it who knows what the reason is that is was in the car, but I am sure they forgot about it when they dropped off the car at the dealership. Good luck and have a nice trip!

You all are right. OP, I'm sorry for my snarky remark. It kind of struck me the wrong way that you're close enough with the in-laws to spend time together when some of us don't even get that kind of closeness.

WHOA, I have no idea what's going on, but with a post like this I can see the DISers are cranky today and I'm going to back away slowly and come back to the board in a few hours. :tiptoe:

OP, I see you edited your post, but hope you have a good trip.

I don't see vultures circling, and only one or two cranky DISers. But there are a lot of sommon sense responses here - that it was the OP's responsibility to pick up the stroller before her trip - and that her in-laws really aren't to blame if it wasn't important enough to get taken care of before the car went into the shop.

JMHO! :)

Wowzee! What a tough bunch of people. Let me make it clear- a phone call saying "Hey come get your stroller cause I'm handing it over to sis who is borrowing my car" That is all I expected- not too much of a big deal, is it??. Now my DH does return things to people and does drive to their house so maybe that is why I expected the same. I never said I'm mad because they didn;t chauffer my stroller to me- I just wanted a heads up that my stroller was being juggled along. Mind you that night as we were leaving BIL came outt to give us another sister's bag that she forgot and we delivered it to her on our way home. Oh and DH never made it there beacause he was working late.

And please remind me to never vent here again!

Maybe they forgot? Are you my sister...oh nevermind that was shoes she left at my house. :confused3
