Why can't people stop pooping in the pool?!?

We have this problem at our community pool too.

They say it could also be from senior citizens swimming that dont have control either.

Besides I dont understand how it could come out of the bathing suit. Obviously, girls suits fit tight enough, but the boys have the mesh in there. So how does it get out of the suit? :confused3

I guess thats why a lot of people don't let anyone swim in their pool except for immediate family.

Last 4th of July a neighbor brought her grandson to come swimming and I asked her to please put a little swimmer on him since we didn't want anyone (children) to have any accidents. She said," Oh, he hasn't had an accident in years!" Lo and behold, he got out of the pool and had a horrible accident on the side of the pool. We were just greatful it didn't happen in the pool. :teeth:

Well, they probably let it out themselves, but then denial is their best friend. :rotfl2:

I'm so glad I don't go to the public poop! I mean pool! :lmao: (it was a real typo, but too funny to fix)

Now that's a Freudian slip. :teeth:

That's just gross. Doesn't your pool require swim diapers (not regular diapers) on the babies? I know those don't absorb pee, but they should hold in the other junk. Ick! Fortunately our pool (knock on wood) has never been closed for a poop problem. The filter seems to not be working right though because there are a million bugs in the thing. It's nasty.

I'm a lifeguard at a local pool and this happens a few times a summer (luckily only once so far). The swim diapers only work if its hard not watery (is that descriptive enough?). As for kids who are "potty trained" the same rule applies.

I have my own backyard pool and just knowing everthing that goes into cleaning it and seeing the filters come out ot get rinsed. YUCK. All kids that are not fully potty trained should be banned. Sorry. It's a public health concern, none of this swim diamer junk

The kids here like to throw animal poop in the pools after hours. So classy.

I was going to say the same thing, swim diapers are NOT foolproof. Never had it happen with my child while IN the pool, but while carrying him.... :rolleyes1 And believe me, you don't always know when the child is having a BM when it is that kind, there is no straining involved. ;)

Yuk! Another reason I steer clear of public pools..I prefer the one in my yard and no kids that are not potty trained are allowed in it! I will gladly set up the kiddie pee pool for any visitng ones that want to use it but stay out of my real pool!

The HOA for my brother and sister in law has the rule that every hour everyone gets out of the pool for like 15 mins. They litterally close the pool for 15 mins. That way everyone has time to go to the bathroom and the aren't missing on swim/play time since everyone is out of the water. Not saying that they still dont get accidents every once in a while, but not often at all.
