Why can't I make a ps for Tony's after the CP reopens?

I've been trying for the last few days to make a lunch ps at Tony's for my birthday on December 17th. I know that the Crystal Palace is set to re-open on the 15th. However, I've been told every time I call that the seating at Tony's for Dec. 17th is not available yet. 60 days out was Wednesday, so I should be able to make it by now. I'm really disappointed. I really wanted to have my birthday lunch there because "Lady and the Tramp" is my favorite movie. Should I just keep calling? Do you think they will start taking ps again soon? All the CMs seem to be really confused as to why they can't book anything at Tony's. Has anybody been able to get a Tony's ps for that day?

Gem, I tried to book a lunch & breakfast at Tonys for the same week after the Crystal Palace opens again & wasn't able to. The CM I spoke with said they are only taking dinner reservations for Tonys now. So, I guess the only thing to do is keep trying, we really enjoyed both the lunch & breakfast in August & hope they decide to keep it open even without the characters for both. The CM said it may be they are working on the change over for the menu etc. so there's hope.

I believe the answer to your problem is that Tony's only served breakfast and lunch while the CP is under rehab... they stopped serving breakfast & lunch at Tony's a few months ago (in the spring/summer I think....), so I would assume that once the CP reopens, the breakfast and lunch at Tony's will end too...

I know they stopped serving breakfast, but I don't think they ever stopped serving lunch. Did they?

I believe the only stopped serving breakfast sometime last summer. My guess is to why they aren't booking Tony's for breakfast or lunch yet is maybe they want to leave it open, JUST IN CASE Crystal Palace can't open on the 16th as planned. As things get a little closer and they have an idea about CP's opening, they will allow PS's to be booked at Tony's, but probably only for lunch.

Sorry to sound silly but I'm confused. I made a PS for breakfast at Tony's for November. What do you guys mean that they've stopped serving breakfast? That they've stopped taking PS for it? Or they're not doing it anymore???

Tony's used to serve a regular breakfast. Then, quite some time ago, they stopped serving breakfast and only served lunch and dinner. Then, when the Pooh and Pals buffet at the Crystal Palace had to be shut down for rennovations, they temporarily moved the Pooh character breakfast and lunch buffet over to Tony's. So, the Pooh buffet is at Tony's through Dec. 15th, at which time the Crystal Palace will re-open and they will move it back over there. So, your breakfast ps for November is fine. My question is about what is going to happen at Tony's AFTER Dec. 15th, once Pooh and Pals move back to the Crystal Palace. I had assumed they would go back to just serving their regular lunch and dinner menu, but I haven't been able to make a ps for lunch yet. I'm hoping that the above poster is correct and they are just waiting until they are sure that the Crystal Palace will re-open on time. I hope this makes sense and clears up your confusion!

Thanks GEM...I assumed that my PS was safe but couldn't quite grasp the rest and thought I'd like to try lunch or dinner there later. DH is 3/4 Italian and we love Italian food...it's just hard to find it justa like-a Mama woulda make it!!

So you can't make a PS for Tony's on Dec 17th? Is anyone able to make a PS for CP yet? If not - there is your answer - they are not sure of CP reopening date. If you can make a PS for CP for Dec 17th, then I am perplexed....

I was able to make a ps for the Crystal Palace for breakfast on Dec. 17th with no problem. But I couldn't make a ps for Tony's for lunch or dinner . . . . Has anybody been able to get a ps for Tony's after Dec. 15th??
