Why buy a small,40 point, BLT add on now?

I agree. My guide called this week to make sure I had heard the news as I've expressed interest in earlier calls. I told her I think I'm going to let my $$ sit for a little while longer and will wait to see if the incentives get better, especially after the first 1,000 bricks are sold. I'm not certain how many points I will buy, but am thinking at least 100, maybe more. My guide knows to call me if things change.

Reservations will be accepted beginning in March, 2009 for owners wanting stays after September 1, 2009. Other owners may begin making reservations March 15, 2009.

My guide seems to think they'll sell out in less than a year. Don't know if she *really* thinks that, or if it's part of her spiel, but we knew we wanted it, and we know we want to stay there next September (we were going to WDW then anyway), so we didn't have any reason to wait. Plus the $5 off per point was nice, too.

My guide called me last week, he also told me that BLT will probably sell out in a year. Told him we are going to think about it a bit more(just remembered how if you waited a bit for AKV you got a better deal).

I talked to my guide last night and he said it would sell out quickly. He said they already have over 500 presales. I told him DH and I would talk about it but right now I think I want to wait and see. I am okay with the price but I have issues with not getting points until Dec 09 and no developer ponts. So if the powers that be are reading this I will buy-in when there are matching Developer Points. Otherwise we may just buy-in at OKW in October or November.

Worst case scenario, it DOES sell out in a year. That means the resales start even sooner!

patiently, addressed all my Qs & concerns

*still room to add name to fountain

*AKVs big deal ended today, nothing of that scope for BLT

*interestingly, it was mentioned (in response to my Q as to selling out quickly) that while the resort will likely be available in the Spring; there is no guarantee that the point price will not rise due to demand

*DVC is working on accommodating all the BLT DVC guests an opportunity to be able to utilize the rooftop lounge/viewing area; yet nothing firm yet as to procedure. One of the ideas being tossed about appears to be a reservation system to allow everybody a chance @ least once during their stay.

*estimation of approx 20% w/MK view & 70% BL view

*opening target date is "fall", wouldn't commit to either Sept or Oct '09

*will be 'street' access to MK...don't have to take the walkway to CR, then backtrack

This is exactly my issue. I am not buying until feb or march. We are going in December and i just want to beat the 7 month window. Do you think it will be hard to get Dec in mid to late march? If I wait til Late march to buy, how quickly will I be able to make ressies?
