I love reading proud mom, dad, and KIDS threads. I haven't seen that many yet.

If your son or daughter received ANY awards from school please let us know. :bounce: :Pinkbounc

My daughter received an Honorary Disney Princess award this year at school. It couldn't have been because she thinks she is one or anthing could it? It had her picture along with the other Princesses on it. I thought about taking her picture with it and sending it in and see if it would help us our when we go back in October. :D :earsgirl:

We went to the awards ceremony at our daughters High School this week. We had received a letter in the mail stating that she was to receive an award but no other details. Much to our delight - she received 2 awards!! Outstanding Sophmre College-Prep Science and Outstanding Soupmore College-Prep American Studies.

We are very proud of her!!

  Paula

Oddball was inducted into the Junior Beta Club and also received a medal for this honor at her school academic banquet last week.
Also, her little brother, Shelby, who is in the first grade recd a certificate for having all A's and B's this year(that is a major accomplishment for him)! We are going to have him tested this summer for ADD. Getting him to concentrate is a major task.
Savannah is only in K4 and they have their parties and end of the year events next week. She didn't want to do dance this year but she is supposed to start gymnastics in a few weeks!

We are proud of all 3 of them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!;) They are each special in their own way!!!!!!!!!!!:smooth:

My oldest son graduates from high school this year and is slated to get an award at the Awards Banquet, we just don't know what yet. He also did excellent on his SATs.
My youngest, 11, won two ribbons in the annual Track & Field competition this year, he got a white ribbon, 3rd place, for the 50 yard dash and once again this year he took first place, the blue ribbon , for running long jump. He doesn't have those grasshopper legs for nothing!
Not to be left out, my oldest and my only daughter, is winning her battle with her thighs. She has lost weight, toned and looks great! (She has posted about this on the boards. Way to go , Velvetgloves!)
Way to go, kids!!!!! =0)

My 10yo dd received an Effort Award for the 3rd term. She worked her buns off and was able to bring up her B & C grades with 2-3 in conduct and effort to straight A's with all 1's in effort and conduct. This was a major accomplishment for her. She was diagnosed at the beginning of the 3rd term with ADD so she really struggled 1st and 2nd terms. She is doing great now!

My middle DS became a member of the National Honor's Society earlier this month!!:D

my DD11 just graduated from 5th grade... she received the Presidents award for being on the horor roll this year.... (well and every year) she is just an easy child where school is concerned!

Since you asked . . . we just got back from one of the awards ceremonies for Johns Hopkins CTY. DD got one of the State Awards for math. A couple weeks ago she got one for being on the honor roll all year.

DS will be getting his "award" at the end of next month - his wedding is planned for the last Saturday in June & she's a real gem. ;)

My DD is in middle school and I recently received an invitation to an award ceremony at her school. No details, but that she'd be receiving one and we were so happy because she has been slacking off this year. She received an award for most improved. We were proud of her. She's always been a good student but has been doing too much socializing this year. Also her cheerleading squad has been undefeated for 3 years. They are Garden State Champs. We went to Va. in March for a 2 day National competition. The 1st day her squad got 1st place, the 2nd day they got 2nd. She was a little disappointed but I was very proud of her.

My 15-year-old got the "Emerging Artist" award for being the artist with the most talent and potential in the freshman class.

My 8-year-old has made the A honor roll all three quarters. His awards day isn't until Tuesday, so he may also pick up something special there.

DD (9) received an Academic Achievement Award for straight As and she won the 4th grade school spelling bee and represented her school at the District Competition. :)

DD, who is an 8th grader this year, they have not held their awards ceremony yet. Last week she did receive a Student Achiever Award which included 4 tickets to a Milwaukee Brewers game. She also found out last night that she made Varsity Cheerleading.

Anyone who thinks that the younger generation is full of "no good, lazy kids" should read this post. There ar a lot amazing talented kids represented on this board. Moms & Dads you should all be proud!:bounce:

My DD's (5th grader) school hasn't had awards day yet, that is slated for next Tuesday, but they did have 'wacky awards' this past Friday and she received 'Most likely to NEVER get in school suspension in middle school', 'Best Actress', 'Most Funny Face', and 'Cleanest Desk' awards. That last one really has me puzzled based on the condition of her room! She's also gotten straight A's throughout elementary school and a few weeks ago was state champion in gymnastics (she placed first in 3 out of 4 events, and also placed first all-around at the state meet). Her team also won the State championship.

My middle DD graduated preschool this week and did awesome at her gymnastic performance last weekend. My youngest is a bit young for accomplishments yet, but she's cute as can be and just as wonderful as her older sisters!

My DS16 is receiving an academic award at his HS awards assembly on June 4th, and DS13 has art work on display at the town library -he also got straight As on his last quarter's report card:D . DD10 was chosen this year to tutor 1st graders in reading:D

Since you asked...

My 8th grade DD just won the conference track meet in discus, throwing 94 ft. 10 in. The girl who got 2nd only threw 74 ft., so she won by a landslide. The school also gave her the award for outstanding member of the track team.

And to think, she only joined track because all her friends were and not because she was really interested in it.

Congrats to all on their achievements! I love to see threads like this!!!!

P. S. - Don't EVER EVER post anything that resembles a proud mom or dad post on the debate board or you will be endlessly attacked! :p  :p ;)

Both my sons finished on the dean's list in college.

(Freshman son had all his Fine arts design work taken.........

by the prof (who is the head of the Architecture Dept). He wants to use it to show next year's Freshman Design class!)
