Why are there no crowd calendars for 2017 on easywdw?

I was browsing today on easywdw, and was hoping to find a calendar for May and June. There aren't any posted past October 2016. Anyone know why?

With Disney putting out finalized info and hours only about 30 days out, it's impossible for any crowd calendar to be accurate. Josh from easywdw posted on here and said he would rather not put them up right now as they would be short notice and just shots in the dark for people.

He intends to start them back up I believe he said once info starts being released in a timely matter.

So as of right now I wouldn't worry about finding any crowd calendars

He stopped doing them earlier this year. Poke around on his site, I think he has a post from many months ago explaining his rationale in detail. Many factors involved.

Yeah, I did too actually and feel the same way. We have been going often enough I sort of have my own touring strategy/style/plan these days, but I always liked to have his recomenations as a guide to get me started.

So, for our trip coming up on Saturday, I just sat down with park hours, special events, etc. spread out all over the place and made my own. Hopefully I didn't fail too much, but we shall see what December 3-11 bring for us!

You can't really predict anymore with all the promos, discounts, holidays, parties, year round schooling etc. I think it became too difficult with all the variables.

Yes, me too...I've always started with his calendar to help with our plans. I guess I will just leave all details tentative until our fastpasses are booked.

I know. I was trying to make a reservation yesterday, my 180, and the latest time I could search for BOG was 6:00pm. In June! It says dinner is from 4-6

I know...just made ADRs for May. I know it's going to change so I pretty much have a fall back plan for each day. No dinners too late. No parks I'm expecting EMM or EMH, flexibility for Star Wars Dessert Party and Rivers or Light Dining, etc.

I pretty much use the same strategy as he suggested. Avoid parks with EMH when you can, visit MK on party dates when applicable, using rope drop and late night for standby when you don't have FP+, etc. The theories still apply, but you have to be much more flexible now with all the constant changes.

If you go in the forum part of his website it does show a rough schetch of crowd calenders, just not full blown like previous ones.
If you want to cough up the $12 for touring plans, they do have a good crowd calenders, plus actual wait times vs posted wait times (which look to be way inflated at the end of the evening)

I didn't find touring plans very helpful. It made me pick which attractions we wanted, when we were taking breaks, etc. I don't know when we're going to get hungry! lol I much preferred Josh's maps that showed which attractions to hit first thing, which ones would require FP+, etc. I built my own plan off of that. Having only been once, it seemed to me that touring plans required a lot of pre-knowledge about popular rides and such to create a plan, whereas Josh's just guided you through.

I used Touring Plans to help pick my park days so I could plan meals around them. I never use TP for choosing attractions order though, although I will send newbies there so they can get an idea of the parks layout, etc.

I used to us TP and Josh's website to make plans, and even though I knew the calendars would change, I felt that the theory remained pretty good.

I am there from the 10th thru the 16th and also wonder what teh parks wil be like.

I'll ask this: WHY is Disney dropping the ball so badly on this? When we planned our trip a couple years ago, hours etc... were set months in advance, and I think only one or two days changed their hours. So why the change? I mean, when you're basically requiring guests to book dinner 6 months out and rides 2 months out, it seems pretty crappy of you quite frankly, to be able to go and change everything up and screw up the plans of people that are spending thousands of dollars.

Honestly, I doubt it. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Disney. I've been going there my whole life...but each year I notice how trying to plan a trip becomes more and more irritating. I mean, I've been enough that if I don't do an attraction or eat at a certain restaurant, my trip will not be ruined. I just love planning, and using a crowd calendar. I plan everything even with every day plans. I guess that's why it irritates me not to be able to plan our trips in advance. As of now though, I've got question marks everywhere in our rough draft, where is usually have a firm time for something. Several adrs even couldn't be made at my 180 just because they have the restaurant closing at 6:00 pm, which is ridiculous.

I agree! There's an extreme difference between now, and just a couple years ago. I miss the old days(10-20 years ago)...I ramble on about how the Polynesian was $200.00 a night, and Ohana was practically a walk-up restaurant.

I've noticed a huge change, just even on this board since I joined only a couple years ago. So many more complaints than there used to be.
We won't be booking any ADRs when we go in June, so not such a big deal for us, but I still don't think it's right that this is what they're doing, and I'd love to know WHY they're doing it. Are they truly suddenly that clueless and they have no idea? Are crowds really dropping that much that they need to wait and see and adjust on the fly to save money? Or are they doing it for some other reason?
