Because my wife and I (SSR owners) were struggling to figure out exactly what to do for our 10 year wedding anniversery in August, and I saw someone post that 1br at BWV preferred views were available (at the 5 month window mind you!), so i called today, and now we are booking flights! hurrah! this will be our first stay at BWV, we have 3 nights. soooo, all you BWV junkies, what do we want to make sure we do, see, experience? we're looking for some more DIS magic! :)

we have gone 4 years in a row last week of december and first week of jan trip (last year to Vero and SSR, LOVED them both.) now, of course, the problem will be that we will now want to go TWICE every year (oh what a problem!) lol

i am now learning the early symptons of this mysterious disease "addonitis!" is there a doctor in the house? :) CRV HERE WE COME! LOL

Right outside your door you will have two clubs to go to. Either a dance club or the dualing piano club. The whole boardwalk experience is fun and relaxing with the street performers out nightly....you'll also enjoy the walks to Epcot or maybe a little longer one to MGM. We find the atmosphere perfect for the adult and/or the kids. Happy Anniversary....

My wife and I really enjoyed Jellyrolls (the dueling piano club) when we stayed at the Boardwalk hotel for our 5th anniversary (also an August trip). Good mix of music and laughter.

I also had dinner at Shula's Steak restaurant in the Swan/Dolphin during a business trip. I still rank that one of the best dinners I've ever had (although not cheap, nice that the tab was picked up by someone else). I'm actually curious which is the better steak in the Boardwalk area- Shulas or the Yachtman's steakhouse?, I've not tried the Yachtman's and may have to during my next trip. And I like the burgers at Big Time Brewery and the wings at ESPN Zone (nothing like a trade show at the Swan/Dolphin for a week to encourage you to try all of the restaurants).

Then I've always wanted to try the kitchen sink at Beaches & Cream. The Travel Channel Special on the Beach Club/Yacht Club got me excited about that one.

But then just being on vacation at WDW tends to make the food taste better.

You will love it there. Try Spoodles and Cape May at the BC. Have a great trip.

I second Jellyrolls. It is a blast! :rotfl: Request a song for your wife for your anniversary. You'll be surprised at what they come up with . My friend did that for my Birthday and we had a lot of laughs. Very funny! :lmao:

Flying Fish is a wonderful restaurant as well. It is great for special occasions. An illuminations cruise is also a great way to celebrate. You can order wine and food on the pontoon or a yacht. Have fun!

I second the vote for Flying Fish. It is really a great place and you'll never find fresher fish. It is right off the boats daily. Jellyrolls is also a favorite of ours as wel as Spoodles. ESPN, I go for the games and the brew not the food. Brew pub has great beer and so so food. Have a great trip. BWV are great.
