Why are the CMs being so contradictory?

they cannot deny us general public it, so i'd ask for guest services immediately. that's my plan if they want to give me problems. my dates are not flexible either, they could be but i don't want them to be.

The sad thing is......Disney can do whatever they want. They have showed how very inconsistent they can be...in the past. Good Luck!

Yes I understand that, I work for an airline, however they cannot give it to some and not give it to others, I explain that every single day, and it's unethical to say oh sure I'll do this for you, but nooo not for you. That's why airlines cannot make half of the excetions they could because it would cause an uproar if one got it and the other didn't.

While I abhor inconsistency, I do want to point one thing out. Disney is offering something for free. They don't have to do this, they choose to. They pick the dates of the offer, the exclusions, and the rules. While I would obviously want it to be fairly applied (and I expect that it will be straightened out quickly), I'm not really mad at the prospect that they might require the trip to take place during the window that they selected.

It is totally and completely up to them. It may be annoying, but at the end of the day, they determine the terms.

Also, a lot of you folks made reservations for dates beyond 9/20, not knowing (when you made them) when free dining would be offered. Any such attempt was a gamble.

Well it seems that an awful lot of people on here were able to book from the 20th on, and sometimes you HAVE to take your vacation at a given time. If half of these people on here, and gosh only knows how many more who do not post on here have gotten it, I for sure will be asking for it. I think that everyone has their own opinions and noone can be on the same side of the fence about it. I intend to point out if necessary the inconsistency and ask for what everyone else has been given.

They could also say extending it past the 20th was only offered in the Disney Visa package.

well we will find out on thursday, and i still plan on asking for a supervisor if need be, at work passengers have no problem asking for one, and sometimes that's what you have to do. I think soon this subject will have to be closed.

Why would a discussion on the inconsistency of WDW and their CMs need to be closed??? We all have seen this many times, and as much as we all love Disney, this is definantly an issue that we can prolly all agree on. I am very happy that so many Disers have been able to book the FD, just released. I was lucky enough to book the bounceback last Sept. and tho I did not get the exact dates I wanted....I am still very grateful for the great discount I received.

But, as we have seen in the past few days, many people have gone thru alot of grief with the CMs, while others have had no problems at all. Can't we all agree that this is not necessary and WDW needs to works on the uninformed CM problem???:confused3

Just to make sure you know I hope it is extended too! We are booked 9/18-9/28.

I was just saying my fears out loud.

Was there more than one offer? The email that I received is titled "Special Dining Offer" but the offer is for 5 nights/6 days at a select Disney Deluxe Villa Resort for $104 per person per night based on 2 adults, 1 junior and 1 child in a studio for stays most nights 8/24 to 9/20 rooms are limited ....and then it says "Free Disney Dining with the purchase of this Magic Your Way package....the 5 night, 6 day Magic Your Way Package includes hotel accommodations, WDW Theme Park Tickets and the Disney Dining Plan. At the bottom is has Important Notes...Offers subject to change without notice and elements, including but not limited to participating locations, are subject to availability, and additional restrictions, and may change or be canceled without notice.
Is this the same as last year? Does this mean you can't buy only a 1 day ticket to get the FD? Maybe I just didn't understand the offer. It also sounds like they could say that they have no more rooms at this offer.
Congrats to everyone that did get in on this great deal!

Wow- I've always been told that a promo can be extended as long as you check in by at least the last date it's offered. Of course I also was told that for a promo ressie, a regular ressie must be cancelled and rebooked which is what happened to me only last month. It wasn't a big deal- I still was fortunate to get the resort and dates I wanted. Now, for whatever reason, many were able to get their ressies modified without having to rebook. Again, that's neither here nor there as the end result is the same. For those who are having trouble extending if your dates start on the 20th, I'd be asking for a supervisor too just to clarify as the end result is not the same knowing that some can do this and others have been denied. I guess everything though is always subject to change. Good luck to everyone!---Kathy
