Why are the armrests so low on all the new cars?

We just bought a new Chevy Venture, and I swear you would have to be about 4 ft. tall to be able to use the armrests. I am only 5'5", so it's not like I'm a giant. My parents just bought a new Infiniti Q45 and it's the same way in their car. My neighbor with a new Volvo has said the same thing. I wonder if there is a reason for this.

Well, I'm 5'2" and the armrests on our new GMC Safari are just right for me;) DH thinks they're too narrow though.

We had a 2000 Taurus and the armrests were too low for me.

If you come to the January Chicago DIS meet and/or pizza pre-meet, Jill, I will tell you the real answer. :teeth:

Too funny, Dan!

Unfortunately, my son's class is doing a family field trip to the Shedd that Saturday, and then afterwards he has a hockey game in Naperville at 4:10.

As for the pizza pre-meet, I'm still trying to work that out. It's a possibility.
