Why are Poly Tower prices so low next winter?

Was planning on staying at WL in January and recently noticed the prices for a “Duo Studio” at the Polynesian Tower are the same price as a WL standard room. Typically Polynesian is out of my budget so wondering if there’s some kind of catch here. I know the Tower isn’t in the main building but it’s still a bigger room on the Polynesian property. The website does say there will be construction going on but typically that isn’t too much of a nuisance. The pool appears to be open, it was refurbished last year. Is there something I’m missing?

Yes there is a catch. The Island tower Duo Studio only sleeps 2 guests. These rooms have a Murphy bed that folds up during the day to convert the area to living space. Think of this as a better designed Rivera Tower Studio again only allowing 2 guests.

Ooooo… there it is, lol. Thanks!

For an estimate on the square footage, you can look at Riviera's Duo studios. I believe those are around 250 sq ft.

If I remember right, the images for the Polynesian tower duo studios have a murphy bed. During the day, you put the bed up so you have a couch to sit on. At night, you fold the murphy bed down and you sleep on it.

You can see the blueprints to compare the Polynesian tower rooms here...
