Why are BW Views available at 7 months?

We are very pleased to get a studio and a 2BR BW View for the first week of August (7 months out-we own at VWL and BCV), but was surprised. I thought these views would be the first to go since they started that option, or is August just that slow. Wonder what percentage of rooms have BW view-does that mean at this point most of the BWV rooms are still available? Just curious in a very happy way.

Many BWV owners intentionally choose the standard view villas vs preferred/boardwalk view for the point savings. The point savings depending on the size of the unit and the length of stay can very often be substantial which will then translate into another WDW trip!
Congratulations on the boardwalk view, they are wonderful villas, you will love it!

This is just a guess, but I think alot of BWV owners don't know that there is a different catagory for BW view. Let's face it, the majority of DVC owners do not read these boards. I don't think I would know if I didn't. But this is just a guess

Or maybe the BW view is not as coveted as everyone thought??
