It's not just fans who have high expectations for this ride. I mentioned before that Touring Plans is touting it as an E-ticket attraction on the same scale as Pirates and Thunder Mt. and now CNN is listing it as one of this year's most "insane" coasters:

We live near SFGA. We will ride Goliath many times -- I'm looking forward to it! We've ridden the biggest and baddest at CP, MM and most other SF... they are all a blast.
But the Mine Train will be remembered in our young kids minds like Space Mountain was to us. It will be unmatched by anything at Six Flags for the memories it creates.
There is more to an experience than the height. This is a new kid-friendly roller coaster in a world where every other kid-friendly coaster is pretty much junk. This has awesome theming, in the most magical land of the best theme park in the world. Goliath, Banshee, Thunderbolt... all cool, but nothing "insane" to me. A little taller, and suspended cars are nothing new. Steel look, minimal theming, and a name that makes you think "big" or "scary". I don't see these producing all that significantly different of an experience from the current mega-coasters for their target audience. Whereas the SDMT -- for its target audience -- is revolutionary. Amazing theming, loved characters, interactive experience.
Can you really name ANY coaster that will have a bigger impact on the world than this? People are coming from across the globe to see it. Goliath will be fun for the locals and perhaps some Six-Flag tourers and that's it.
SDMT absolutely belongs in the top coasters of 2014.
Kinda surprised Gringotts isn't on the CNN list. It did make the USA Today list.
