Hi - Just wondering - why do some of you book a cabana?

I've just seen the picture below and just wondered what it includes and what it costs??

thanks ever so much:thumbsup2

We usually stay at the Portofino but reserve a cabana at HRH. We love having a "home away from home" at the pool. We have guaranteed shade, a ceiling fan and a large area to relax in. We have dedicated chairs and a fridge to keep drinks in. There is a table to eat all the food and to put all the drinks we seem to order. HRH's pool food/drink far surpasses PBH's!

The kids can go back and forth to the parks and know where to come back to. It is just a lovely luxury that we splurge on when we have a pool day.

Can you use all three hotel pools if you stay at one of the three? How much does a cabana cost? How soon can you reserve one, before you check in?

Thanks for your expertise.

Yes, Universal encourages pool hopping.

The cabanas vary in rate from hotel to hotel and on the location of the cabana. For instance, the beachside cabanas #7 - #10 at HRH are more expensive than the cabanas on the other side of the pool. You would need to call the hotel and get the current rates for the hotel/cabana you want. A rough range would be approximately $125 - $185 per day. You do get some refreshments like water and sodas and a bowl of fruit with the price of some cabanas.

You can reserve one as soon as you have a confirmation number for your reservation. During the busy, hot season, the 4 prime beachside cabanas at HRH are often booked months ahead of time. But there are usually cabanas available at any time. They may not be the more popular ones, but they have the same amenities.

We rented a cabana at PBH this summer it was #12 at the Villa pool(We love this quieter pool) and we had a TV put in for the girls - In the cabana there is a table and 4 chairs a fridge and a ceiling fan - right outside the cabana you have 2 dedicated lounge chairs. Although the people next to us had asked for a 3rd chair and they brought it to them

With our cabana came a fruit tray that arrived with a bucket of ice and 2 small Fiji waters - we also when reserving the cabana was asked what 6 beverages we wanted in our fridge(wtr soda not beer)

it was worth ever cent! it cost us $125 for the whole day(and had we not had the tv put in it would have been $100.00)

Would highly recommend it!
