Added two cash nights a Vero (and captured the elusive member discount) for after our cruise in November. We haven't stayed there yet and want to check it out.

Is Vero more like HH or OKW???

I haven't been to HH so I can't say how it compares to that resort. I kind of think "neither". Vero is wonderful but it is very compact. You've got the Inn which gives you a central place to go to for restaurants, lobby activities, etc. There are the 3 villa buildings and then the 6 individual beach houses which give their own unique feel to Vero. The decor of the units is probably most similar to OKW in colors and feel but I wouldn't say it's "like" OKW. It's beautiful and you'll have a great time but I think it is unique among the DVC's.

I stayed at Vero for the very first time last May - it is very nice - esp. if you get a room at the INN on the ocean - what a sunrise I saw from there! It's very laid back and quiet - nice size rooms also. Enjoy! Haven't seen HH yet but will be visiting for the very first time on Saturday - can't wait.

Vero has more of a hotel feel to it than the "condo" feel of OKW IMHO. I would actually say that HH and OKW are closer in ambience to each other than either is to Vero. Of all the DVC resorts I've stayed at I would say BCV comes closest to the feel of Vero. BW's has some superficial similarities but the atmosphere of the boardwalk itself makes that hotel feel much more "happening" than Vero which is a very relaxing place to visit.

I would say VB is a combination of both. You get to park right under where you are staying(either villa or INN. The 1+2BR villas are spaciuos. You have restraunts right on property(HH does not). The pool

is one of DVC's best(not inc SAB). Everything is with in a 3-5 minute walk at VB.It is a "1st class" resort.:D
