their 2 DD's with the american girls in the backpacks and the american girls bags?

my DD8 was "reading over my shoulder" and saw them...didnt mention it until later, and now she wants to "go to the american girl store"...she knows there is one...LOL saw the bags to prove it.

So tell me, who has the pictures- and WHERE is that store?

Thanks
Brandy

I think that picture is so cute, too. I believe that store is in Chicago. We've been to the one in New York which is right near St. Patrick's Cathedral. Worth the trip - really fun!

ahhhhhh NY-

now thats a trip I can make!!!!! Gonna go find out bout this.

I love the picture, is perfect for a candid shot!....DD seems to think that if we go to the store, she can get a bag as BIG as the one in the picture LOL...oh if she only knew!

sounds like I might be planning a day trip with my mom and the girls..Mimi always buys them an outfit for their dolls at birthdays/christmas so it'll save her the hassle of ordering..

Thanks!

Brandy

Sorry! I hope I haven't cost you too much money!;)

Have a great time if you go! Our girls had a great time!:D

oh no its okay! It's a terrific picture!

It looks very exciting...the girls got their dolls this year, so they're very into them.

I'm even looking forward to it

The American Girl Place is a fantastic store. I've never seen anything quite like it (it puts the huge FAO to shame!) It has THREE stories and each floor is filled with American Girl dolls, clothes, accesories, etc. There is also a restaurant where a girl can have anything from a meal to tea with her doll. There is also a showcase performance in the theater. We didn't do these things, as our girls decided they would rather spend the money we would have spent on the meal and show on new clothes for their dolls and them. $250+ later we were done, and apparently we got out cheap!

If I may give a word of advice. Let your daughter look through the catalog and decide prior to going to the store what she wants. This way, she will already know what she wants, and it may limit the time spent begging for more. This is what we did, and found that they were on a mission to find the outfits they had picked out beforehand, therefore not seeing all the other outfits!

We all had such a great time! You will have a ball, and your daughter will remember the experience forever!

guess I was busy that weekend

I took my 9 yr old niece to the one in NYC last month for her Birthday, we had lunch in the Cafe', had her dolls hair done in the salon and she and her doll got matching pajamas. It was a great afternoon for us both....and she is still talking about it. Certainly beat the Toys-R-Us gift certificate her mom told me to buy her.
