WHOSE Luckier than me?! The January TR!&March PTR!**LINK TO NEW TR IS UP!!**

Even though all of my diser friends seem to have disappeared  here's another update! :p

Day 4 part 2

I left off with us headed back to WL and dropping off most of the 75 lbs of stuff we carried around with us all week! I can’t wait for the kiddos to be old enough for us to travel light into the parks!

We got to WL quickly and made a quick trip up to our room took a potty and diaper change break and headed out again!

The plan was to get to DTD and be at T-Rex Café by 5:30ish. We had a 6 pm adr at Planet Hollywood but we really wanted to go to T-Rex!

We scooted on over there and along the way had a brief discussion about trying to go to Fulton’s if we couldn’t get into T-Rex. We ate the on DH b-day in March and it was phenomenal!! DH said no, either T-Rex or PH. That was kind of shocking from my seafood loving DH :confused3 I guess maybe he had a craving for chain restaurant food!

We walked right up and into T-Rex! No wait at all! Yippee!

We were seated in a neat room with a firepit kind of thing. All the rooms are different and all them have a different theme. I can’t remember what the room was called! I made a quick call over to PH and canceled our ADR and then left to go the bathroom. Before I left I told DH of the waitress came to please order me a Corona with a lime.

A short time after I came back from my potty break our waitress arrived at our table with this…

Holy mother! It was one freaking huge beer!! You can see (kind of) where it says 1 pint 8 FL OZ (24 FL OZ) It was 2 beers in one huge bottle! DH made fun of me for being so shocked with the size of it. He asked if I had ever seen anyone drink a “40” Yes, I have but it’s been a while and it was always some weird brand like Old English, which to me is furniture polish and not something I’d drink.

We ordered appetizers and dinner. Here is where T-Rex not taking the dining plan made a difference. We’re more appetizer people then we are dessert people. I really wish DDP would let you pick if you’d like an appetizer or dessert. The food was good. It was your standard chain restaurant food much like TGI Friday’s. It was fine for us because when we go out to eat at home, usually once or twice a month, we go to TGI Friday’s because it’s kid friendly. Not to mention DH and I got to fill our recent addiction to Buffalo Wings!

T-Rex is a very cool place. I definitely recommend it to everyone at least once just for the atmosphere! Once every 15 minutes (maybe 20) There is a meteor shower and some of the dinosaurs start moving and making noise. It does get a little loud but it’s very cool!

After dinner we took a little walking tour around the rest of the restaurant, which they encourage you to do when you go in.

A big old T-Rex in the room we sat in! Behind it you an kind of make out the legs of the Octopus and the aquarium in the bar area!

Pterodactyl in our room, blue ice room behind him

Mammoth kind of between our room and the ice room

Giant bug above our heads!

Also above our head!

Ice room!

After dinner the kiddos were dying to go to Build a Dino! It’s the same as Build a Bear but dinos instead! DD got a pink one, of course, with a cute outfit. DS picked out a T-Rex and didn’t want clothes because “T-rexs don’t wear cloth Mommy” I convinced them that Ryan didn’t a Dino and we didn’t need to carry around another Dino in a box!

After Dino building it was off to the lego store. Dorothy and Johnny LOVE legos and were so excited to go there again. The funny thing was it was a quick trip and we spent less then $50. I didn’t even get to use my coupon because you had to spend over $75! I gave the coupon to lady with her arms full of stuff and she was very greatful! I truly thought that we would be in there for an hour and spend $100. I was very impressed with my kiddos!!

Then it was off to World of Disney DH decided he and boys would stay outside because there was only a few things I needed to look for. DD and went shopping!! I love that store! DD gets a little overwhelmed with so much stuff but we got some good things for family and a few good things for us too!!

Then it was onto Team Mickey. I was really surprised that DH asked to go in there. He’s not a shopper at all but somehow managed to find a Mets hat (sorry Pam!) and 2 hats for the kid and something else that I forget right now!

We thought about going over to Goofy’s Candy Store but we just weren’t feeling it anymore and didn’t need to sugar up the kiddos ;) So we ventured toward the first bus stop. I, yet again, walked by Basin and didn’t go in! In March I think I’ll go to the one at GF!! Then decided to go into the scrapbooking store. We were in there for all of about 30 seconds and I told DH that all the stuff they had that I would want they had in the Merchantile. I rather get it there and not have to take it back with us.

We got the bus stop right as the bus was pulling up and jumped on with the 17 tons of new stuff we had and had a quick trip back to WL!

Then it was off to bed!!!!

Hey all my Diser friends! Sorry I was gone! I've been crazy cleaning lady the past 2 days and am finally happy with the way things are around here! Yes, I'm a tad OCD and the mess drives me completely insane!!!

Anyway, I have good news :cool1: and bad news :scared: (sort of) to share!

First the good news! I now hold in my happy little hand an email confirmation from my wonderful TA that says PAID IN FULL I'm super excited and need to get on with really planning out our days to know what we want to do in each park! I'll share that with you when I get it all together!

Now the bad news. My doctors office called this afternoon. My regular doctor, not my endocrinologist. She said they got the results of my ultrasound and there was an increase in the size of the one nodule on my thyroid and my thyroid in enlarged. I expected this but I'm a bit freaked! I went through a whole saga in 05 thinking I had thyroid cancer. After a long ordeal I was very lucky that I didn't. However since them my sister was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and had to have her thyroid removed. The thing is she had nothing on her thyroid at all, they found the cancer after doing tests related to another problem with her neck. I'm the one with the thyroid full of stuff! I'm trying not to freak at the prospect of having my thyroid removed etc. But I think I'm failing miserably at it! LOL! Ugghh! I just keep telling myself it will be fine and so many people have it much, much worse! I'm sooooo glad I have this vacation to look forward to at this point! I'm going to try to emerse myself in disney and not think about it!

I'll stop whining now and I'll be back soon with a trip update!!!! :grouphug:

So sorry to hear you are having a rough go, think positive .
Here is some :grouphug: and prayers for you.
I take 350mg of synthryoid a day and see a specialist at Cleveland clinic so I know how concerning it can be. But it sounds as if your doctors have been keeping an eye on it.

Glad to see the PAID IN FULL made you happy.

Also I am loving the trip report and the pictures we too loved the Nemo show.

I just recieved a 40% offer on a value resort at Disney but it has to be booked by March....and right now we can't put another deposit down on anything as we just booked our cruise/flight/hotel and the added extra insurance. So our resources are drained.

Keep us posted.

Even though all of my diser friends seem to have disappeared  here's another update! :p

You have new friends reading your trip reports! Love your details and pictures. Are you a professional writer? I hope this last trip you were at Disney for a month so I can look forward to even more reports :cheer2: I shared your photographs with my son(3), or I guess it is correct to write DS3. He loved the pictures of the Dinosaurs! Recently he is all about them.

New Fan,
Corey

Hey! I'm still here. Just never get any Dis time these days!!:guilty:

Loved you pictures of Devine! We've never been able to get close enough to get decent shots.

I think T Rex looks cool, but no one else here is interested in giving it a shot. Teenagers!

I'm a little behind, we've had a busy week too. My mil is getting tested for breast cancer this next week. And we were finally able to get my DS into preschool, he starts Tuesday.

I will pray for the best for you and your thyroid. Still catching up on the TR. Just finished on part way down page 31, so I'll finish catching up tonight after kiddos go down to bed. I wanna see a pic of the sweater, even if it has a hole

I missed you Vickey!!! I'm thinking positive now and am pretty much over feeling sorry for myself ;) What will be, will be.

That 40% off looked so inviting! I'm hoping they'll release a nice new deal for the fall. When I spoke to my TA the other day she said we can pretty much count on it! Then I just have to convince the powers that be ;)

I'm so excited for you about the cruise!!! Your going to have such a great time!!

Aww thanks Corey!!! Your making me blush  ! Unfortunately our trip was not a month long! Only 9 nights ;) that was enough for me. Really I know that's probably some sort of Diser sin but I was really ready to come home!!

T-Rex was so cool! I highly recommend it for everyone at least once!!

I'm glad your still around!!

I was sooooo excited to be able to get those shots! OMG! I was being such a geek :rotfl: When I uploaded them onto the computer and saw them full size I was just as excited!! I think she may get a whole page in my scrapbook!

I hope your MIL is ok! That's terribly scary! Lots of prayers and pixiedust: for her!

I'm glad your were able to get DS into preschool! DD and DS both had really great preschool experiences and I really think it gave them a fantastic foundation both educationally and socially.

Thank you for the prayers! I'm sure that everything is going to be fine no matter what!

I should take a picture of the sweater! I didn't think of that, and the whole too! LOL! I was thinking about calling Merchandising to see if I could order a new one instead of waiting. That way I can see if I can replace my Disney family decals too! I had to take them off the back of my minivan tomorrow so we can turn it on Tuesday when we get the new one :( I'm happy to get the new car but I was so sad peeling them off! The only thing is if I order the stuff from Merchandising I'm sure I'm going to have to pay some insane amount of shipping. Ho hum, we'll see ;)

I loved your updates! :thumbsup2 T-Rex sounds like fun. Did Ryan get scared from the loud noise? I think my kiddos might've been. :rotfl: I love the picture of Ryan sitting on the curb! Such a big boy!! :goodvibes I'm glad you liked Finding Nemo. Did you think it was as good as FLK? We LOVED the Lion King, but it might be good to know for any future trips (I wish.... *sigh*). It seems both the weather and Johnny's poor throat got much better quickly! Yay!! :) So cool that you got to see DeVine!!!! :)

No more sickies in your house now? :)

I'm on 75mg of synthroid a day, but I know this needs to be adjusted. I'm way to run down and all my old syptoms are coming back.

Love, love, love the pic of DS sitting on the curb!

Ryan really wasn't scared of the noise. There' so much noise around here he probably thought it was just like home ;)

I really actually liked Nemo better then FOTLK!! I was super suprised about that because I love FOTLK!! I used to work with women who is sort of a Boardway expert and had seen FOTLK at AK and the Lion King on broadway and liked the show at Disney better! Nemo was really Broadway quality and them some!

We got lucky that day with the weather and Johnny's sore throat! Not to mention seeing DeVine and actually being able to get close enough to take pictures!

Love, love, love the pic of DS sitting on the curb!

I'm very interested to see what my thyroid levels are. They've been fine in the past but with the nodule growing and my actual thyroid being enlarged I'm not betting on it being normal this time. Not to mention I have a few symptoms too. I have funny dry skin patches all over, I'm always freezing cold etc. But then I think maybe I'm just being a hypochondriac ;)

Ryan thought he was such a big man on that curb!! It was too funny!!

Heyyy sorry I haven't been around, I haven't deserted you I've just been super busy with school! :headache:

I loved the updates! I can't wait to see the Finding Nemo musical and you just made me even more excited to see it! T-Rex looks so cool, I would definitely go in there just to take in the atmosphere. That fog had me a little worried that your AK day would be shot but glad to hear it cleared up.

Hope everyone's feeling better over there! :goodvibes

How is school going?!

We loved Finding Nemo! I can't say enough about the performers in it! They do a spectacular job!

T-Rex was a lot of fun, really neat! I just read yesterday afternoon that Landry's Restaurants, the company that own T-Rex, Rain Forest Cafe and a bunch more, is in danger of going out business in the next 12 months!

That fog had us a little worried too!! But it burned off really quickly!

Everyone, knock on every available piece of wood, is better!!!!

New yorkers get a bad rap! :rotfl:
Love all your pictures. Wish we had time to see the new t-rex place.

:lmao: LOL! Could be! I used to work with a girl who said she could tell I wasn't originally from here because I was much to laid back.

Another update and lots more pictures to come!

Day 5, part 1

I woke again this morning earlier then the wake up call, shocking I know! But it was still later then most days at home 7ish again! SWEET :cool1:

I took my shower and got myself ready, this time taking a little extra care to make sure I actually looked presentable ;)

Then it was time to get the family ready and presentable too!

Turns out we clean up pretty well if I do say so myself! :confused3

Then it was down to the lobby for our 9:30 am photopass photo session!! Yippee!!

We spoke to the 2 gentlemen at the counter briefly about what we were going to do and I went inside the Merchantile to pay for the session. I had pre-ordered my photopass cd so the session of $70. But would it be worth it?

Our photographer took us all around to different spots at WL taking lots and lots of pictures! Over 90 in all!

So here goes! These aren't nearly all of them but my very favorites! Enjoy!!

First we did inside;

on the bridge above the bubbling spring

Johnny in the long hall between the lobby and the Roaring Forks area.

Ryan being silly in the same area

Dorothy helping me wrangle Ryan

I caught him!

Then we went outside. First to the area behind and near the pool...

big kiddos with Silver Creek Falls in background! As you can see from Dorothy's hair it was a tad breezy!

Daddy and the big kiddos

Dorothy and I

All of us!

I think this picture will forever be one of my favorite pictures of my princess!

Johnny, handsome as usual!

The whole crew!

Daddy walking with his boys!

Then we went down by the lake...

this one is a toss up with another for my favorite!!

DH and I

Then we took a walk toward the Villas!

Oh my goodness! No wonder all the girls at school love him!

Peek-a-boo!

More in the next post!

continued!

Ryan giving me some love!

Then the photographer asked us if we had ever been in the villas and we hadn't so he took us through them to get out front! Man, I wish I had brought my camera!! It was so beautiful in there!! They had little game tables, rocking chairs, a fireplace and, of course, the trains!! DH and Johnny were in heaven with the trains!! I really want to buy resale WL DVC someday!!

Then we went outside to the front of the resort...

All of us again!

big kiddos!

Dorothy and the beautiful flowers as a backdrop!

the other picture that's a toss up for my favorite!

Us with the buffalo!

Then we were done! The photographer said he would download the pictures and burn them onto a disk and it would take about 1/2 an hour.

Great! We were hungry and it was now after 10 so we headed to Roaring Forks for breakfast!

After filling our bellys we headed up to the room to change!

We had to stop along the way for Ryan. See, Ryan is competely obsessed with the vacuum. He plays with my vacuum and his toy vacuum all day long! When we got upstairs to our floor the mousekeeping carts were in the hall, one of them had a large, industrial vacuum on it! He wanted that vacuum more then anything in the world!! LOL!! DH had to drag him away! Too funny!!! Again, I wished I had taken my camera with me!!!

We changed our clothes a bit, collected our stuff, including our ponchos because the weather was slowly starting to go downhill, and headed down to get our photo CD! The photographer showed us all the pictures on the screen! So many and so good!! We thanked him and headed for the bus stop!

Today was Epcot day!!

We hopped the bus and headed to FW to pickup more people and it started to drizzle a little! Oh no!

Along the way the skys literally opened up and it poured like the days of the great flood...

Those photos turned out great! I like WL as the backdrop. I've looked at the Family Photosession thread and I'm never impressed with the ones from GF. It is such a beautiful hotel but the photos there all seem to be overexposed and too bright. Your photos are beautiful! The one of you and Ryan is my absolute favorite!

Great photographs....Don't know much about the photopass but now will have to learn about it! I think the family photo with your husband and lake behind is my favorite. Great family photo! I can't wait for our trip! This will be my wife's first time at Disney. She has no idea what a magical place it is. ( I haven't been in 12 years) I have been obsessed with planing this time.......just want to make sure my wife has the best time. Look forward to your Epcot trip report....taking notes!!!:yay:

Wow I'm really impressed with your photopass pictures, they came out soooo good!! If you would have went before Christmas I would say you should definitely use one of them as your Christmas card because your whole family just looks really good and really happy! :thumbsup2

I hope that the rains don't ruin your Epcot day!!

School's going alright, thanks for asking. Just have to get back into the swing of coming home and not being able to jump right on the DIS or relax and watch TV like I had been the past semester when I wasn't in school. Now I have the dreaded homework :(
