Wow, what a great surprise! Your TR is so good, i hope you are all feeling better soon so we can hear more about your trip :goodvibes:

Mickey was glad to see you all for sure.
I bet the kids loved it.
The cookies look so yummy, my DH loved seeing people wearing the Mickey's gloves.

I do hope everyone is feeling better today.

As for wishing for a snow day I won't hold that against you....we are under a winter storm....8-10 inches of snow on ground and we have black ice on all the roads due to dropping temps after all the snow and freezing rain we got in the last 2 days.

WOW!!!! That is some kind of a surprise, did you get the kids faces when they saw everything? I bet their reaction was great.

You know, stupid me I let them go in first! I was the last one in the room!! Duh! DD liked to put the key in and open the door so she was the first one in and DS was next!

Yes, it was the room decorating thing of the celebrating theme!! They loved it!!! DH told me when we went to bed that night "good job honey;)"

Awwww thats such a cute surprise! I'm sure the kids were THRILLEDDDD!

They were!! They really loved al lthe goodies we could bring home!! Ryan will will play with the mister fan (without water) for hours!!! He loves it blowing on his face!

Awww!!! Thanks for coming over!! We seem to be passing it along the family, my older DS had it today, but not bad. The only one left is DH  I'm keeping my finger crossed he doesn't get it! I hate when he's sick!!

They definitely were yummy cookies!!! the icing was a little sweet though! The kiddos love the gloves! Johnny got a pair last trip so now we have 2. That way the older 2 don't fight over them!

The kiddos still had school! There was state testing at the high school that they couldn't reschedule. Seems stupid to me to have state testing in late January that is not reschedulable (is that a word?) in NY! Hello people! It snows in NY! We really didn't get much anyway, 3 inches or so. It got a little icy later in the day. My backyard looks like a skating rink right now!! I cancelled brownies anyway cause of the stomach bug and weather. One of the mom's told me 8 kids in her daughters class were out because of this stomach virus!! Yikes!!!

I'm hoping to be back later with another update! :p

:cheer2: much better!!!

I tried to post an update yesterday. I got it all typed with pictures and all and then BLAM! My internet connection went out! The thing is we have high speed DSL and it's usually great. They only time we really have any problems is if its really windy. It think it happened just to annoy me :upsidedow

So, i'll be back in a bit with the new, improved version of that update :rotfl: Right now, DD and I just go back from church and I have some house work to do! I'd skip the housework and Dis instead but looking at the mess gets me all annoyed!

Ok!! No I’m getting angry!! It happened again! I was writing update and my connection went out again! #%&@#*$#!@%

I wrote a bunch and had the pictures in!!!!

I’ve now learned my lesson and am typing this in word and will copy and paste when I’m done!

Ughhh!!

Onto happier news!

I’ve expressed my true, enduring love for my tickers and countdowns in the past. Today is the kind of day that reminds me why I love them so much!

Everyone scroll down to the bottom of this post and take a look at my ticker

Today it says 50 days!!!

Yippeee!!! I’m so excited!!

I honor of this happy and glorious occasion I made myself a new countdown calendar!!

I didn’t want to do a poster sized, grand and wonderful display. I felt like that would be kind of rubbing it in the kiddos faces that Mommy and Daddy are going alone this time. So, I did it with Photo Impact and it’s printed on 8.5 x 11 paper!

Now onto the trip update!

Day 3, Part 1

The night before I once again set a wakeup call. This time for 7:30 am. Again my excited Disney energy had me up way before that. This is a theme for me at Disney, waking up early. Luckily, this trip I was able to get myself to sleep a little longer then last trip. Last trip I was up at 5 several times!

So I hopped my butt in the shower and started getting ready. DD got up early too and got herself ready. At 7:30 the wakeup call came and DH and DS’s got up as well. They slowly got ready and we headed down to breakfast at Roaring Forks.

It was an uneventful breakfast and then we were off to Hollywood Studios!

Because DH and the boys got ready slowly we got to DHS about 9:30. We immediately headed toward TSM! It was a 50 minute standby wait. We talked briefly about getting our FP and then going standby. But 50 minutes seemed like a long time with 3 kiddos and my sensitive tummy was acting up. I didn’t want to have to run and abandon the line.

So DH got the FP, we had a bathroom break and we head toward Art of Animation! The only other time we’ve done this was in 05. We got to meet The Incredibles! That was neat! I was a little miffed that they hadn’t updated the show any. Mushu, while cute, seems a little outdated to me. Oh well! We were really on in it for one thing!

Sorcerer Mickey!! I love Mickey sooooo much and I love Sorcerer Mickey most of all!!!

I’m going to shut up for a moment and show you some really cute pictures the photopass photographer got of Ryan & Mickey!

Mickey's nose!

A kiss for Mickey!

A tickle from Mickey!

I’ll say one thing here. We encountered many wonderful guests on this trip! We had many wonderful conversations with people and really had a nice time meeting different people. While waiting to meet Sorcerer Mickey we had a rather negative experience with a fellow guest. We were waiting in line and this man comes running up with his young son. He wanted to hand the little boy over the rope to family members who were already on line. I don’t have a problem with that. The line wasn’t long and the boy was maybe 2. However in this man’s frenzied attempt to get his son in line he ended up causing the boy to kick Johnny in the head! I saw it happen and Johnny looked at as if he was going to cry. I talked him out of it by telling him he was ok and reminding him that Mickey was just ahead. DH asked me what the problem was and I explained to him that the boy had kicked him in the head. I wasn’t quite about it because I was angry that it happened. I’m sure that the man knew it happened and said nothing. I know the woman who was now holding the boy heard what I said. She looked directly at me and said nothing. :headache:

After meeting Sorcerer Mickey it was off to Playhouse Disney!! DH and I were very excited to see how Ryan reacted to the show! We have very fond memories of taking Dorothy and Johnny there in 05. Johnny was 2 and loving Playhouse Disney! He loved the show right up until Bear from Bear in the Big Blue House started to sing the Goodbye Song, then he cried. Because he knew it was over.:rolleyes2

Ryan really enjoyed the show!! He kept pointing and saying “Pooh, pooh!” To Ryan all Disney characters are either Pooh or Pluto!

A few more Playhouse Disney pictures!

I’ll share one more negative guest experience here. Truthfully, I can think of 2 more after this that stands out in my mind. During the show they tell the kids to stand up and dance. Johnny (poor Johnny) stood up and the very rude little boy behind him hit him on the leg and yelled “Hey, I can’t see! Sit down!” At this point Johnny sunk it my lap and cried. I told him, again not quietly, that they said to stand up and dance and he should stand up and dance, he is allowed to and he should enjoy the show. I told him not to let a fresh little boy spoil his fun. The boy’s mother heard me and she told him it was ok for the kids to be dancing and if he didn’t want to dance he need to sit and be nice.

Uggh!!

After PHD we went over to One Man’s Dream. The only other time we’ve gone through this was our trip last March. Johnny wasn’t feeling well at the time and stayed outside with MIL. He was very excited to see all the memorabilia!

After One Man’s Dream we were able to get another Fastpass so we went toward Star Tours! I got FP for myself, DD and DS. Then we went and got in line for Indiana Jones! We waited a little while. Maybe 20 minutes. I took a few pics of the Indy themeing in the line!

Then we were lead into the theater. We waited another 10 or 15 minutes inside for the show to start. Ryan was not at all happy with the waiting in the theater and I thought I may have to take him out. But once the show started he was happier than ever! He loved the show! He laughed at everything!!

We all really enjoy this show! Of course to Johnny, who is all about all things Indy and Star Wars thought it was “AWESOME!”

After the show DD and DS decided to spend a little bit of their money at the shop outside of Indy! DS was sooooo excited to see all the cool Indy stuff they had! I’ve gotten strict instructions to buy him “lots of Indy and Star Wars stuff” on our March trip!

Then it was time for lunch!!!

Great update, I can't wait for Playhouse Disney.:) Sorry about your less than pleasant encounters, that stinks. Can't wait to see how you spent the rest of your day.

OMG those pictures of Ryan and Mickey are ADORABLE! I love the one where hes biting Mickey's nose haha, too cute. Sorry you had to deal with more than one experience of rude people. I give you credit for keeping your cool when both times! I hope Johnny (poor Johnny!!) got over it and didn't let it ruin his time too much. I hope he got back up and danced even more after that rude little boy hit his leg.

Yay! An update! Sounds like a great start to your day - poor Johnny wasn't having the best of luck though! i hope the Indy stuff made up for it :)

There were just a few people who were just awfully rude! Uggh!!! But that's to be expected anywhere I guess! Heck, I can go to the grocery store and experience more rude people in 20 minutes then in a week at WDW! Another update to follow!

LOL!! Ryan hasn't learned to pucker yet!! When he kisses everyone its with an open mouth!!!

Poor Johnny! He just doesn't get it when people are rude or mean because he doesn't have rude or mean bone in his body! He's just a sweet little guy! Unfortunately, these 2 encounters wouldn't be the last for him this week!

Yay! An update! Sounds like a great start to your day - poor Johnny wasn't having the best of luck though! i hope the Indy stuff made up for it :)

We had a wonderful day , aside from the rude people! Johnny got over it pretty quickly!!! He was happy to get a move on and have some fun!

Alrighty! I'm going to give you guys another update tonight because tomorrow I have to do one of my least favorite things in the world. Have a thyroid ultrasound. Ick! I have 6 nodules on my thyroid, and sparing you a looonnnggg and involved story, I have to have a thyroid ultrasound once a year. I hate, hate, hate to have it done. It's terribly uncomfortable. It feels like they're choking you! It's also a bit painful. My thyroid has been bothering me lately. It actually hurts sometimes which makes me think one or more of the nodules has grown. I know the ultrasound tomorrow is going to be that much worse :( I won't get the results until I go for my checkup with my endocrinologist on the 23rd. So if I'm all in pain and cranky from being tortured I may not be Dising.

Day 3, Part 2! Sorry, no pics in this update!

Lunch!!

We had an ADR at 50's Primetime! We ate there in 07 and were looking forward to going back!

We checked in and were seated quickly! Our waitress was super nice and funny! She was trying to learn chinese from the people at one of her other table and then would try to teach it to us. The only thing was she had a pretty heavy accent so the people who were trying to teach her kept correcting her and she would teach us wrong!! :lmao: She was cute!

We ordered DH ordered a chicken sandwich, he had a chicken sandwich at Kona the day before! But he really liked it! I got the fried chicken Yummy!! Johnny got a hot dog and Dorothy got meatloaf. Dorothy didn't like the meatloaf so I told her to ask for a hot dog. When she did our waitress pretended to cry because DD didn't like her cooking! :rotfl: The hot dog came quickly and she ate it up! They didn't charge us for the meatloaf! I was prepared to pay OFP for the hot dog but didn't have too! I guess they get picky kids a lot  Then it was on to dessert! DH and I both got the brownie sundae!!! Yuuummmmyyyy!! I love the cracker jacks in the ice cream!!! The kiddos also got ice cream which never leaves them unhappy! After dessert we settled the bill, DH and I had beer with lunch also so we had to pay for that, and tipped the waitress well for being great!! I noticed that the waitstaff LOVED that we tipped cash and not on the room charge!!

With our full bellys we left 50's and venuted in the direction of Star Tours. I was a little uneasy riding it so soon after lunch. :crazy2: Luckily DD said she wanted to go to Muppetvision! So we walked a little further! When we go there Ryan was sound asleep in the stroller. I told DH I didn't want to take him out and wake him so he should take DD and I'd wait with Ryan. Johnny decided he wanted to stay with me! Funny kid!! We went over to the shop that has the muppets stuff in it and bought a few things for friends of ours who love the muppets! Then we went back and sat on the fountain for a little but we were directly in the sun and it was warm! So we decided to go get fake tattoos! I got sorcerer mickey and johnny got a mickey that looked like indiana jones, fitting tattoo I know! My tattoo was HUGE!! I should have taken a picture of it! But it was on the outside of my right leg. It had to be 4 or 4 1/2 inches tall!!

After our tattoos we waited in the shade for awhile longer and then DH and DD came out. It seemed like they were gone forever!!

Off to Star Tours we went! When we got there DD decided she didn't want to ride :upsidedow So DS and I went alone. Luckily, there were no screaming ladies on this trip! There was actually a really nice lady next to Johnny who had never ridden the ride before. Johnny explained to her how it would move and rock a little and you feel like you moving and told her "don't worry, you'll be fine!" She thought that was super sweet and thanked him!

We had a great flight and when we landed we met the rest of the family in the drop shop (I HATE the dang drop shops!!!) so the kids could shop some more with the money they had worked so hard to save!

After shopping it was finally time for our very first TSM adventure!!!

We enter the FP line and them waited a good 20 minutes! Ok! We didn't mind but some of the other people waiting did.

All I or anyone else in my family can say about TSM is WOW!!! It was so much fun and sooo cool! Well, Ryan didn't like it. I held him on my lap and he cryed a good part of the trip! Poor baby, I figured out later that he didn't like the lap bar.

After TSM we talked about what to do next. We had planned on staying for Fantasmic. But it was a little after 4 at that point and the kiddos were done and wanted to go in the pool. So we headed out!

Up next, a swim, dinner and can I give that man a piece of my mind?!

Yay another update! Sounds like a fun afternoon, even more fun than the morning! i hope your ultrasound goes well tomorrow and isn't as painful as you think
