I don't dress them that often because they dislike it. It causes the older one to just freeze and the little one will just run around like a maniac rubbing against everything trying to get the clothes off.

Thank you all for replying so far and to those who have lost their beloved pet, I am truly sorry for your loss. We have gone through that with our pets over the years and I know what you were/are feeling.

You all certainly have some interesting names for your Beagles. I think I will compile a list and present it to my family for a vote. Of course, nothing will make the list if I can't picture myself calling him out loud with that name!

Your puppy is absolutely adorable We had a beagle while I was growing up and it was the sweetest little thing We called her Blackie, not very original but that's what happens when you let the kids name the pet Because of her, I have such a special place in my heart for beagles and your little guy sure fits that bill On a funny side note, my father was in WW2 and served in Germany so he picked up a few words, one of which was "roust" which means get out. Blackie would like to sneak into one of the off limit rooms to lie in the sun and when caught, Dad would say "Roust" to her and she would immediately leave the room. So Dad would always comment on what a smart German Beagle she was because she understood German Of course, it had nothing to do with the tone of his voice at all Enjoy your precious baby

We have two girls: Maya and Rosie. Maya is a 2.5 year old tri color saddleback. Rosie is a year old tri color with a TON of ticking! (Both beagles belong to my younger daughter who is obsessed with black and white photography. I apologize for the lack of color.)

Our beagle's name is Cooper and he will be 1 on 7/29. He was an anniversary present from DH last October. Our other beagel Riley had died suddenly the previous winter and the house was oh so quiet without a beagle. As I'm typing this he is howling at an ambulance going by . Anyway, he thinks he's more retriever than beagle, must get that from our lab. He likes to swim, chase balls and birds. Oh, and he likes to roll in things outside..don't know what, but one day he came in smelling really bad .

My last beagle we had was 10yrs ago.We called her Tacoma.I was in a dog hunting club and one of the members female had a litter.Once I seen her I fell in love and said no way this is gonna be a hunting dog.Soon as I brought her home everyone in the house fell in love with her.

We had her for 12yrs.What a great dog that can never be replaced in our hearts or home..
