I am lucky in that my last shift before xmas is Sunday night and I finish 7am Monday morning. I am then off for a week
and back the day after boxing day.
Unfortunatley I am on over the New Year weekend - but if I had a choice I would have worked new year over xmas any day.
So who else is keeping the country running while the rest eat, drink and get merry

but the overtime for this came in very handy for our hols that year!!
for everyone who has to work when it's not their choice.
When making Christmas schedules I give choice and try to be flexible! We are closed Christmas day!
I am then back for boxing day. I am off New Years Day but work in between. My DH works on Wed. of this week for 12 hrs. and is off every day! His plant goes into shut down, the 2 12 hrs shifts the next week. His 2nd job is on call so who knows with that one as he works as a guard for the police dept. so this job depends on the public?
